QuickSilver Tent Campers / Cleaning canvas top
September 22, 2017, 01:35:12 PM
Anyone ever taken the canvas top off your QS and cleaned it yourself or had it professionally cleaned. It seems that in less than a year and 15 camping outings, my cover is taking a beating with dirt and especially mildew, and it is almost impossible to clean while the unit is assembled. Suggestions, comments, thanks.

QuickSilver Tent Campers / Awning Question
June 23, 2017, 12:25:07 PM
Hello, I have a QS 10 and I'm wondering if I should purchase an awning. Are they worth it? Or is it another piece you have to set up and take down and find out it wasn't worth it?

General Q & A / Snap replacemsnt

Hello, does anyone know how to replace or repair the snaps on the canvas.  Thanks.

I think they are all made that way. I have the same problem with my QS 10. It's good to have a tight fit to prevent moisture and bugs from ruining your camping experience. What some owners do is lift up the bunk end a foot or so and that takes the tension off the canvas and bars. Once you get a few snaps in place, then secure the bunk ends with the struts. Hope this idea helps.

Wondering if anyone is towing their QS 8 or QS 10 with a hitch extension. Even with a back up camera I am getting too close to my bumper when hitching up the camper with a standard length hitch. Also, with an extension, should I worry about sway?

I have only driven on flat roads, never mountain passes. If you are going through mountains, you may want to go with the electric brakes.

I tow my QS 10 with my 2014 Subaru Forester. My unit did come with electric brakes but I didn't have them installed. It takes a few trips to get use to the tugging feeling on your car when you are towing the camper. The biggest thing I have noticed is the speed. You can't drive any faster than 65 mph and because of that when planning camping trips I have to avoid expressways and drive more on two and four lane roads. You can drive on interstates but I feel I am creating a hazard for anxious drivers behind me.

General Q & A / Tire very close to mud cover
May 15, 2017, 09:27:49 PM

I have a QS10 and while inflating tires to proper psi I noticed one of the tires is very very close to rubbing on the mud cover by the tire. Anyone else have that problem?

That's interesting about snapping down the canvas. Do you have trouble putting up the canvas yourself? Thank you.

QuickSilver Tent Campers / Tire pressure
May 06, 2017, 02:56:01 PM
Does anyone know how much the tire pressure should be on a 2015 QS 10. There is two pages of tire info in the Manuel but nothing on pressure.  Thanks.

Hi all,

Looking for ideas on how to put up a QS 10 by myself. For a 60 year old 5'3" female I am in excellent shape but not strong enough to lift up the canvas or bring down the bars to snap the canvas down. Usually have to ask a friendly camper to help me.

General Q & A / Battery Cover for QS 10
April 09, 2017, 08:52:47 AM
Hello,

Does anyone know how to remove the plastic battery cover on the front of the trailor? My cover is very lose, thanks to imperfect backing up skills!. There seems to be two tiny bolts to take off, but I am unsure what tool to use.  Thanks.
