Which book publishers are best for new authors?

Hi everyone, I'm trying to get advice on book publishing. I've been researching and came across a list of top book publishers in US, but I'm not sure which ones are really best for new or emerging authors. Has anyone worked with these publishers or had good experiences? I'd love to hear suggestions and tips about the process, what to watch out for, or how to choose the right publisher.
