Lately I've been trying to memorize a lot of things for work and personal projects, but it's just too much for my brain. I forget details, mix up lists, and feel frustrated. I've heard about some memory techniques that could help, but I don't know where to start or if they really work. Does anyone have a method that makes memorization easier and more reliable?

I've tried simple lists and repetition, but it's boring and ineffective. I needed something more visual or structured to actually remember what I study.

A friend suggested I explore the method of loci, also called the memory palace. The idea is to visualize a familiar place, like your home, and assign pieces of information to specific spots along a path. I tried it with my grocery list at first—imagining each item in a different room—and it worked better than I expected. Then I moved on to work tasks and dates. It makes memorization feel like a mental walk, and recalling details is surprisingly natural once you've built the path in your mind. I can see why it's been used for centuries by memory champions.
