How do you get to Whistler from Vancouver?

Has anyone here ever traveled from Vancouver to Whistler? Please tell me how you got there. Are there transfers? I would really appreciate your help!

Would you like to leave from the city or the Vancouver airport? I got there both ways somehow. Once, friends in Vancouver invited me, and I stayed at their place before leaving for Whistler, so I went from the city. I used Connect Airport Transfers both times because I always get from the city or airport to my hotel in Whistler quickly when I take their service. They use bus lanes to avoid traffic jams.
