For Sale / 2013 Camplite QBB for sale $14k

I've turned this little 16ft trailer into a little tiny home - lived and traveled in it for almost two years, was perfect for this writer chick.

Bed frame is queen size, in photo is a single bed, larger fridge, micro, AC, aluminum floor - the valences on window removed, now have cool silver curtain rods with clips so can put any curtains you want.

I'm completing two repairs at the moment (new awning, new kitchen window).

No cell service at the moment, email for more photos and info: [email protected]

TY!

Thanks very much!

We did find it where you say it is below - had to go to a RV shop (didn't see your reply). Was not easy to see, and I have a ton of cra* on bed frame (bed, table, wicker baskets) so was not easy to lift up.

All good now, happy to have hot water :)

Hi,

Can someone give advice on where the hot water valve is - I cannot find it. Blue/red tubes under sink, then to compartment below, then they go to the left outside, no valve anywhere.

I have cold water, but somewhere the valve to hot is shut off.

thanks very much, I'm done crawling on the floor for the moment!

I found information on that axle frame welding recall issue - is for 2017-2019 year models, so mine is not applicable here.

Here is the link to the recall information and the law firm that deals with RV Lemon Law - http://rv-recalls.rvlemonlaw.com/2018/10/livin-lite-is-recalling-certain-rvs-due.html

If someone needs legal help, they may be a good place to start, get a referral, etc.

Cheers

Thanks a ton - I will follow up on the recall for improper welding and see what happens. Will post here the results.

Your advice and information much appreciated, Molly

There are quite a few posts where people received trailers with sub-standard welds from the factory, as with all manufactured products not everything is always 100% so it is a good idea to inspect welds (and all critical safety components) on ALL trailers regardless of type or material.

"Quite a few posts... " that does not indicate how many defective "sub-standard" trailers are out there, and David discovered a serious error that is not "sub-standard welding" but an actual incorrect size axle on the trailer that could result in serious injury or death.

That's a recall issue.

It is the manufacturer's responsibility to ensure the product is safe and meets safety standards, especially something so serious as the axle on a trailer - jeez.

I'm still guessing this is part of why they went out of business - or at least it should have been. I hope they were sued up the yin yang - yes, I'm still mad. I have to pay for my axle repair, after 6 months of use.

But at least no injury, no thanks to Livin Lite.

I was just thinking I need to take a picture of the sticker on the axle before it wears off.  Good idea to take pics of all the sticker while we can still read them.

Exactly what I am thinking too - as soon as get it back from the shop. It will be fixed correctly, but still... want to do my due diligence and make sure all is correct.

Thanks David for your excellent example.

Read up about the axle issues with these trailers first is my advice - very serious issues, some are defective and dangerous to tow.

Other thread "Beware" etc. I wrote - has a link to the old forum that has a bunch of stories plus be sure to read David's axle story - scary stuff.

David - isn't this a RECALL issue?

You will thankfully be safe on the road after your trailer is fixed, but what about others who don't have a clue they are towing a DEFECTIVE trailer with an axle that cannot support the trailer weight?

It's a serious safety issue for everyone, including anyone on the road near any of these trailers.

They should ALL BE RECALLED and be fixed. Yes?

I'm grateful insurance is covering the majority of repairs related to damage from the axle coming off of my 2013 16ft QBB travel trailer - but I have to pay the axle costs.

The reason for the accident (thankfully no injuries or TV damage) I've been told is the axle was not welded properly and the size of the metal sheets (for lack of better term) used to attach to aluminum frame were small - think axle size is fine, haven't checked, haven't asked.

Is this something Livin Lite should have to pay for?

The trailer will now be repaired correctly and we will be safe on the road, but I'm still really pissed off, and have no respect for this company - or the new version KZ at all.

Any thoughts? TIA

I loved my 2013 QBB travel trailer (16 ft) until the axle came off - thankfully not on the highway.

Many of these trailers are DEFECTIVE - why Livin Lite went out of business and Good F'ing Riddance.

HAVE YOUR AXLES and FRAME checked by a qualified mechanic.

You could save you life as well as others.

Cheers.

And F'you Livin Lite for putting my life and others in danger.

Here is the old forum thread with a lot of information on this issue (welding, axle, poor quality) - http://archive.aluminiumcamperforum.com/index.php?topic=2502.0

I'm guessing this is why they went out of business.

Here is the thread from the old forum - lots of folks have had issue with the axle and welding on frame - http://archive.aluminiumcamperforum.com/index.php?topic=2502.0
