How to Find the Right Real Estate Agent

So many real estate agents out there, it's kinda hard to tell who actually knows their stuff and who's just in it for a quick sale. When you bought your place, how did you know your agent was the right fit? I don't want someone just trying to rush me into a house I won't end up liking.

I've had a few different agents over the years—some were great, some not so much. What made the biggest difference was how much time they took to answer questions and explain things without getting annoyed. I found my current agent through Homes For Sale in Utah, and what I liked was you could actually see reviews from other clients, plus there's an easy way to get in touch with someone local to your area. I'd say, meet a couple in person if you can and go with whoever feels honest and willing to listen to what you want, not just what they want to sell.

I haven't bought yet, but my friend swears by getting referrals from people you trust. Agents can make a huge difference, especially if you're new to an area or the whole home-buying thing.
