Hi everyone,

I'm new to energy healing and have recently come across reiki. I've read a few articles and watched some videos, and it sparked my curiosity. However, I don't have any prior experience with healing practices or spiritual training.

I'm wondering if reiki training is suitable for complete beginners like me, or if it's better to build a foundation first. What should I expect from the training process? Would love to hear from those who started their journey without any background. Any tips or resources would also be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hi! Reiki training is definitely suitable for complete beginners—you don't need any prior healing or spiritual experience to start. Most Reiki courses are designed to guide you step-by-step, beginning with the basics like learning about energy flow, hand positions, and receiving your Reiki attunements. The process is gentle and intuitive, so it's great for those new to energy work.

Expect a mix of theory and practice, often including meditation and hands-on sessions. A good tip is to practice regularly, even on yourself, to develop your sensitivity. For resources, look for certified Reiki masters and consider books like The Reiki Manual by Penelope Quest.

Overall, you can start without any foundation and grow naturally through the process.
