How much time does it take to write an essay?

So I just spent nearly two full days working on a 6-page essay, and I'm honestly wondering if that's normal or if I'm just ridiculously slow. I'm the type that overthinks every paragraph, double-checks sources, and rewrites the intro five times before I'm even halfway done. It always feels like everyone else knocks these out in a few hours, and I'm just sitting there with my coffee going cold. Curious how long it usually takes you guys to finish one?

Yeah, I've definitely been there. I used to spend entire weekends stuck on a single paper, especially when the topic didn't interest me. Saw this thread and it reminded me of a writing workshop I went to last year — one of the speakers said it took him a full week to write a blog post because he'd rewrite every sentence at least three times. So I guess no matter how fast or slow you are, you're probably not alone in it.
