Security bit fasteners again

I am having difficulty removing the water pump on our 2016 11FK. As another person asked in 2018, the screw appears "to be the 8 sided type but with a dimple in the middle so I can't use a  tapered 4 sided bit on them."

The best response was "It takes a common #2 square bit-  used by the millions on RV's.  Also known as a Robertson. The 8 sided screw is called a double square. Torx are 6 sided."

Will a common #2 square bit work with the dimple on the fastener/screw?  Thanks for any help.
