Sentinels are rare enemies in buy arc raiders blueprints. They are sniper turrets that can be found on some buildings. These turrets draw a line on players nearby before causing massive damage. Sentinels may be rare, but when they do appear, they will drop Sentinel Firing Cores. These are items required for Gunsmith tables upgrades. Below, I will explain how to locate Sentinels on different maps and provide an alternative method to finding Firing Cores.
They spawn at random in arc raiders coins, and they are rare. However, they always spawn on high places with long sightlines so that they can easily target players from a distance. Night Raids seem to have an increased spawn rate, and I've seen them at the following locations.
The Breach: Dam Battlegrounds
Buried City Town Hall
Spaceport: Departure building
The Blue Gate: Pilgrim Peak
The laser will sweep across the area to let you know that a Sentinel has been sighted. The laser will be focused on you if one is nearby. You'll then have time to hide behind cover. Use cover to get closer to the Sentinel until you are in range. The Sentinel has a low health compared to other Arc Raiders rare enemies, so you don't need to exert much effort to defeat it if you get close.
Sentinel Firing cores can be found on Sentinels. Usually, one core is placed per Sentinel. They can also be found on Arc Couriers - the white saucer-shaped object that you can open and is usually marked with plumes of smoke. You should open each courier that you come across. Also, keep in mind there are more Couriers in Arc Raiders during Electromagnetic storms.
Il Toro: Uncommon, Shotgun, Shotgun Ammo
The Il Toro's power and spread are balanced by its slow firing rate and poor range. It is best used in tight maps such as Stella Montis. However, in Spaceport and the Dam Battlegrounds it only shines when you are able to get into buildings. Ambushing another player with an Il Toro shot is one way to win.
Arpeggio: Uncommon, Assault Rifle, Medium Ammo
Meh? The Arpeggio does average damage with burst firing at a medium range. It is a fine, unremarkable gun. It's best to use attachments to focus the fire of this weapon to make it more effective at longer ranges. This gun is not useful indoors. Arpeggio is a weak weapon, especially in PvE.
Venator: Rare, Pistol, Medium Ammo
It used to be one of the strongest contenders for the best weapon in the game. However, patches have taken some of the shine off it since then. It is still a good weapon for combating other Raiders, and lighter Arc forces, with its pinpoint accuracy. It's louder and uses more ammo than other pistols.
Torrente: Rare, LMG, Medium Ammo
It's difficult to gain an advantage over other players with this handheld LMG. If you get the advantage, however, your first attack can be devastating. Just remember that this weapon is a scavenger of ammunition.
Vulcano: Epic, Shotgun, Shotgun Ammo
The shotguns are struggling to find a niche. The expensive Vulcano barely outperforms the Il Toro and has the same issues. It is a shotgun with a low range and mediocre fire rate. It can't even break armor. However, in tight player matches, it can cause serious damage.
Bobcat: Epic SMG, Light Ammo
It's not ideal that the Bobcat is so difficult to build, as it is only marginally better than Kettle or Stitcher. It has a lot of kick, so you should add attachments to reduce the recoil.
Bettina, Epic, Assault Rifle and Heavy Ammo
This AR is designed to be used in PvE battles against Arc's heavy minions. It is a heavy ammo guzzler, so bring enough Heavy Ammo to keep it going.
Jupiter: Epic Sniper Rifle and Energy Clips
It's a shame that the best Sniper Rifle in the game requires a Queen Reactor. This means it should be even better. This weapon is great for PvE, as it can disassemble distant Arc enemies with armor-breaking, powerful shots. However, the gun is too slow and unwieldy against agile players. This is the weapon to bring if you are out hunting Bastions and Rocketeers, but not humans.
Rattler: Common, Assault Rifle, Medium Ammo
The Rattler is cheap to produce and still not worth its price. It lacks power and seems ill-suited for most combat situations, except with Hornets and Wasps. This is a weapon that has good armor penetration but should be replaced with something better.
Osprey: Rare, Sniper Rifle, Medium Ammo
The Osprey's long-range combat is great in theory, however it isn't powerful or accurate enough to satisfy the needs of the majority of players. With its average armor, you'll have trouble killing Arc enemies. Players are also too evasive and elusive to be killed easily before they reach cover. This can be used to cover allies or weaken enemies from stealth.
Hullcracker: Epic Special Launcher Ammo
Patches have made a once powerful weapon far less impressive. The grenade-like weapon is still capable of removing armor from enemies such as the Arc Raiders Bastions. However, it's not accurate and can't be used against other players. It's also difficult to use on flying foes, like the Rocketeers.
Hairpin: Common, Pistol, Light Ammo
It's described as "tricky" in combat, which is not what anyone needs from a gun. This pistol is too weak to bother anyone or anything that could threaten you. Anything else would be a better alternative. If you do have it, use it for what is intended, such as sneak attacks or headshots, before switching to a real gun to fight.
We would never suggest that you use these weapons to fight other players on Arc Raiders.
