CampLite Travel Trailers / Re: Care of CampLite trailer
September 08, 2017, 11:49:31 PM
I agree Toyota's have no torque when it comes to towing , High RPM and lower gears on any hill or against wind.
If you use a cover for the trailer make sure it is made out of material designed for that purpose and well fitting so it doesn't flap in wind.
I've never put my trailer on blocks if you park it on cement maybe that wouldn't be a bad idea. I do cover my wheels up for storage.
Speaking of tires ... I put on one ply higher than the tires that came with the trailer. The higher ply allows more air pressure, the old ones always looked like they were low of air.

I've got a 13 BHB and my tires are rubbing on the plastic trim around the outside of the wheel wells. The left side rubbed enough to break the trim.
The tires are stock size.
Have any of you had the same problem?

CampLite Travel Trailers / Re: RV TIRE PROBLEMS?

I just put a pair of Carlisle tires on my 13 ft. I went for 8 ply this time. I believe the Westlake tires that the trailer came with were 6 ply.
The new 8ply look a lot better, the old tires always looked like they needed more air.
We are heading for BC in July, we'll see how the new tires work out.

Is there a way of changing the antenna on my BHB 13ft.
I really don't want to put a hole through my roof or remove the inside panelling.
Am I stuck with that flying saucer antenna that only works if your parked on the front steps of the radio station.

I would love to be able to take it to my dealer... I phoned them and all I got was "sorry we no longer sell travel trailers"
They dropped Livin Lite trailers like a hot potato .
Now what?

I have a tire that is showing wear on the outside edge. The other tire shows normal wear.
I have a 2016 13 ft BHB.
Do I have a bent spindel if so do I have to replace the axle?
I'm I correct that the axle is a #10 Dexter.

I love pulling into a camping park with my 13 BHB and setting  up beside a Grey Hound Bus size camper. We hear everything from can you sleep in that, to "how cute".
Have any of you changed to 14 inch tires , yes I understand it would involve a lift kit.

Forum Recommendations / Re: Bring back the old forum

Well said djsamuel...  I couldn't agree more!. I was so disappointed in the fit and finish of some of the work on my trailer. With our Canadian dollar I paid big money for a small trailer.
I've decided... screw'em I'm going to rebuild the damn thing myself one factory worker screwup at a time.
Hopefully this new forum and its members will get it together and be as helpful as the old one was.

Upgrades and Modifications / lift kit for a 13 ft ???
January 06, 2017, 02:52:29 PM
I'm thinking about a lift kit for my 13 ft. trailer and I have a couple of questions. Could I make my own, there were pics on the old forum .
Second question is there a good quality 13 inch trailer tire in Canada? The reason I'm thinking of a lift kit is so I could put 14 inch tires on.
The 13 inch tires that came with the trailer are cheap crap and wearing out faster than I can type .(That didn't come out right I type very slow)
It's a shame to have to change  but I'm getting a lot of "you got to be kidding" looks from tire shops when I ask about good quality 13 inch trailer tire. And I will lose those fancy rims on top of it all!
