Totally understand where you're coming from! I run a vintage-focused store, and some of my best stock comes from small family-run ateliers around Florence and Naples. They may not advertise much online, but their craftsmanship is incredible. Try looking into Italian textile fairs or contacting local fashion schools—sometimes their alumni offer custom pieces that are true gems.
