Foracort 200 Inhaler is a medicine that treats and prevents symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).  It contains two active ingredients: Budesonide, a corticosteroid that lowers airway inflammation, and Formoterol, a long-acting bronchodilator that relaxes airway muscles, allowing for better breathing.  Unlike rescue inhalers, Foracort 200 is used on a regular basis to manage chronic symptoms like wheezing, coughing, and shortness of breath.  It is not intended to provide immediate relief during acute asthma episodes.  The inhaler should be taken as directed by a doctor, usually twice daily, and it may take several days to achieve full efficiency.  Common side effects include throat discomfort, hoarseness, and minor tremors.
