It's a creative way to show who you interact with the most, kind of like turning your Snapchat activity into its own little galaxy.

But how does Snapchat actually decide who gets which planet?

Let's break it down in simple terms.

It's All About Interaction
The Friend Solar System is based on how much you interact with someone on Snapchat. That includes:

  • How often you send them Snaps
  • How often they send you Snaps back
  • How much you chat with them
  • Whether you're viewing each other's Stories
  • If you react to each other's messages
  • Basically... how close you are on Snapchat

The more active you are with someone, the higher they rank — and the closer their "planet" is to the Sun (that's you!).

The Planet Rankings (From Closest to Farthest)
Here's how the planets are used to represent your top friends:

  • Mercury – #1 Best Friend (closest to you)
  • Venus – #2 Best Friend
  • Earth – #3
  • Mars – #4
  • Jupiter – #5
  • Saturn – #6
  • Uranus – #7
  • Neptune – #8 (farthest)

So, if someone is shown as Venus, that means they're your second most interacted-with friend on Snapchat.

Only for Snapchat+ Users
This feature is only available if you subscribe to Snapchat+. You'll see your planets on your friends' profiles, but only if you're in each other's top 8. If not, no planets will show.

And just a note: these rankings are private. Only you (and other Snapchat+ users) can see them — it's not shared publicly with your whole friend list.

Can Planets Change?
Yes! The planets update automatically depending on your recent activity. If you stop snapping someone or start talking more to someone else, your friend rankings — and their planets — can shift.

So, if your Mercury suddenly becomes Mars, don't panic — it just means someone else is getting more of your time.

In Short...
Snapchat uses the Friend Solar System to turn your activity into a fun space-themed way to show who you're closest to. The more you interact with someone, the closer their planet is to you. It's Snapchat's version of a friendship leaderboard, but way more cosmic.
I've been using Snapchat Best Friends Planets for a while now, and it's actually pretty accurate at showing who I interact with most. I love how it makes the whole friends list thing more fun instead of just streak numbers. If anyone's confused about how it works, this breakdown explains it perfectly.

Absolutely! Andar Bahar is a fun and simple game, so it's perfect for passing time during road trips. Just make sure everyone's comfortable and safe if you're playing on mobile. I usually play it on the mega game app it runs smoothly even on the go!

That's some useful insight, thanks for sharing! It sounds like the 1/2 amp figure aligns well with your boondocking experience. If you're relying on a solar generator for power, that low draw is definitely a big plus for extending battery life. Gathering more precise data could really help optimize solar generator setups for similar use cases.

Maintaining your RV roof is crucial! Regular cleaning with a non-abrasive cleaner and sealing small cracks with a quality sealant like Dicor can prevent leaks. If you're unsure or need expert advice, Roofers in Fresno are a great resource for inspections and tips. Staying proactive will save you from costly repairs.
