Title: If you could track only three activities in your sales funnel, what would
Post by: satohinakamoto on February 16, 2026, 08:28:16 AM
Hypothetically, if you had to simplify everything and track only three activities in your entire sales funnel, what would you choose? I'm considering drastically simplifying our reporting structure because it feels bloated right now. My thought is that fewer metrics might lead to clearer accountability, but I'm nervous about missing something important. Curious what others would prioritize if forced to choose.

If I had to narrow it down, I'd track meaningful conversations, scheduled next steps, and stage progression. Those three usually predict everything else. I came across this article that reinforced that idea: https://www.teamgate.com/blog/boosting-sales-teams-responsibility-through-better-activity-tracking/ (https://www.teamgate.com/blog/boosting-sales-teams-responsibility-through-better-activity-tracking/). It explains how focused tracking strengthens responsibility without overcomplicating systems. When we simplified our dashboard, performance conversations became clearer and more productive.

Constraints sometimes bring clarity. When options are limited, priorities become easier to define. Focusing on core drivers often reveals what truly influences outcomes.
