Title: Best equipment setup for home training
Post by: JeffreyKing on November 13, 2025, 06:07:03 AM
I recently got a heavy bag at home and now want to build a small setup for shadowboxing, skipping, and conditioning. What gear do you recommend for a small home gym?

Depends on your body weight and training type bag work or sparring.

Usually 12oz for light bag work, 14–16oz for sparring.

I built a mini-gym for boxing at home, buying my boxing gear (https://www.fightgear.co.uk/) here, including a punching bag. If you primarily work with a bag, focus on sturdy gloves, hand wraps, and a good mat. I also added this set of boxing balls for reflex development
and coordination—great for shadow boxing.
