The idea isn't really mine. I don't like that kind of vacation. I don't like active vacations at all. I like walking calmly around a city, lying on the beach, sitting by the hotel pool. My friend convinced me to go hiking with him. I have no idea how it will end.
If you don't like it and don't want to, why did you agree? I get that sometimes you don't know if you'll like it because it's a totally new experience, and it's sometimes worth saying yes just to try. But if you already know it's not your thing, why go consciously?
Overall, I agree. If you don't like it, why go? I wouldn't go because I know I'd be really uncomfortable. If you do decide, first, I suggest learning about protection in high-altitude trips (https://www.businesslist.my/buzz/entertainment/article/trekking-in-high-altitudes-make-sure-your-insurance-covers-these-5-essentials-75) and getting the right insurance. And also, what can I say? Plan your route in advance, ask a friend about shoes and clothes, and try not to overload yourself with activity.
