Hey everyone,
I've been told by friends, coworkers, and even past partners that I have "too much masculine energy." I'm ambitious, decisive, and tend to take charge in most situations. While I'm proud of being strong and independent, I sometimes wonder if it's affecting my relationships or how people connect with me. I don't want to lose my drive, but I'd like to find a healthier balance with my softer, more feminine side.
Has anyone else dealt with this? How do you nurture your feminine energy without feeling like you're suppressing your true self?
Any tips or experiences welcome!
I can relate to this a lot. I used to get similar feedback, and for a while I thought I had to "tone myself down," which felt fake and frustrating. What helped me was realizing that masculine and feminine energy aren't about gender but about different modes we all have: doing vs. being, giving vs. receiving, directing vs. flowing.
Instead of suppressing my ambition, I practiced intentionally shifting into "receiving" mode in certain spaces, listening more, letting others lead, slowing down before acting. Activities like dance, journaling, and spending time in nature helped me soften without losing my edge. It's more about flexibility than changing who you are.
I've been there. I learned it's not about changing who you are but balancing modes. As a woman with too much masculine energy (https://innermasteryhub.com/7-signs-woman-with-too-much-masculine-energy/), I keep my drive but practice receiving, listening more, letting others lead, and slowing down. Dance, journaling, and nature help me connect with my softer side.
