Title: Heated underbelly
Post by: Bluewaterbound on February 15, 2018, 08:12:57 PM
In the process of purchasing 2018 Cl21RBS with platinum package that has an enclosed heated under belly.
How is it heated? Air from the furnace, 12 volt heating pads or something else. How do you turn it on/off.
Where does one find answers to these basic type of questions?
Thanks

These very questions have been asked on this forum over the last months. No answers. If you do find out, please post.

My suspicion is that no answer = no heat.

If it is the same as the 16TBS it is heated by the furnace.
You can't turn off the underbelly heat without also losing cabin heat.
There is about a 2" hose from a side port on the heater directed through a hole in the floor.
Personally I plan on finding a way to block mine off as much of our camping it is cold enough for the heater to run but freeze protection is not needed.   IOW a lot of wasted heat.
