Title: How to Really Sanitize a Used Apartment
Post by: daniel3112 on May 23, 2025, 05:59:21 PM
Just signed the lease on a place that had two tenants before me. It looks alright, but I feel weird about germs, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. Any ideas on how to really sanitize a used apartment?

Even when it looks clean, there's always hidden stuff. Handles, switches, even under the sink. I usually wipe everything with bleach but never feel totally confident it's clean.

There's a difference between visible cleanliness and actual hygiene, especially when it comes to used apartments. I once booked a professional cleaning after realizing my new place still had food residue in cabinet corners and sticky patches behind the stove. I used https://ecoclean.ae/deep-cleaning/ and was impressed with how thorough they were they sanitized the bathroom floor edges, cleaned inside the extractor fan, and even the back of the fridge. That level of cleaning made me feel safe using the space. Sometimes it takes more than a scrub to make a place truly livable.
