Title: Day/Night Shades; Build Date, May, 2017; Model Year, 2018
Post by: Huckleberry Hound on October 31, 2017, 06:05:54 PM
Is there ANY reason the day/night shade (not the windows) assembly could not be installed "upside down" at the factory?  I would prefer the privacy portion of the shades on the BOTTOM, not the top.  If no reason why not, and assuming the factory WON'T flip it during manufacture, how difficult would it be to remove and flip the day/night shade assembly?  Risks?  Rewards?  Tips?

Can't think of a reason.  My 2013 21BHS has the privacy portion at the bottom.

My 2016 21BHS also has the privacy shade on the bottom, doesn't make sense to have to on the top so my guess is careless assembly and zero quality control, but this is par for the course in the RV industry.

I'm with you, Huck! Privacy makes more sense at the bottom. Our 14dbs has the same configuration as yours. I would be curious to know how the flip goes, and please include any tips and tricks.

Thanks!
