Title: Can I get an EB-3 visa for temporary work?
Post by: kate65 on March 28, 2025, 11:48:38 AM
I am interested in the topic of obtaining US residency and I am wondering if it is possible for a temporary or seasonal job to qualify like in the hospitality industry for EB-3? Is permanent work strictly required? If anyone is knowledgeable in this topic, please write if this is possible.

No, the EB-3 visa demands a permanent and full-time role, so a temporary job is not possible in this case. If you are interested in a seasonal job, you can travel on an H-2 visa, but it needs to be renewed all the time. And if you are interested in residency, then you need to apply for an unskilled worker visa and work in hospitality industry, following the EB-3 Visa Requirements (https://eb3.work/eb-3-visa-requirements-a-comprehensive-guide-for-aspiring-hospitality-workers/) . I wouldn't say that the process is very difficult, but it is definitely long-term, so you will have to wait a lot.
