Interesting.  My 2016 shades came from the factory pulling up from the bottom.  Wonder why they would have changed it...?

They didn't change it, just sloppy workmanship. The installer that day either didn't look at which side was the shade or just didn't care.

Upgrades and Modifications / Re: A/C soft start

MY 13.5k roof AC pulls a little over 1800 watts when running.

Why try to get by with a small generator that will be running near its max limit just to run AC when a 3500 watt generator can run the AC and anything else in the camper.

I use a harbor freight predator 3500, it was $700, is super quiet, and even with AC full blast the generator is just over 50% load.

You'll have to order a new axle from Dexter, the rubber inside the axle is not user replaceable.

On my 2010 QS 10.0 the axle was bolted to a bracket and that bracket was welded to the frame. Is your axle welded directly to the frame?

If you have the room definitely get the 8. Get a 2015 (maybe 2016 also) or earlier those were the all aluminum ones.

General Q & A / Re: Livin Lite "no wood", BS
July 13, 2018, 09:09:08 PM
The older livinlites had no wood (possibly in the exterior doors though as those parts were a purchased component from Challenger door)

My 2016 has wood cabinet doors, I'm OK with that though. It is the structural wood that I don't like, once that gets wet the entire camper is compromised.

I understand, but it's over 20 hours one way, I wonder how often people drive that far.
[/quote]

Probably not many however I have read on the forums that people who drive far make a vacation out of it and camp on the way home.

I should not let my husband know this. It would give him more reason to insist on peeing in the shower. (I told him that's what the woods are for.)

Your camper might not have separate tanks for black and gray water, this is a new change started on some 2018 models where the shower drains into the black tank.

Totally guessing that they are equally hard to come by.

Livinlite campers are kind of expensive new so you don't see as many for sale used. I think tip out bunks on any BHB is kind of rare.

I was dumb to not test out the AC before I bought my CL 21BHS. That thing is so loud inside and out I'm embarrassed to turn it on.

All RV roof AC units are loud, just another thing the RV industry is too stupid to innovate on.

Some people have installed mini-splits. They are near silent inside however you have to be creative in installing them.

Great find, that tip out bunk 13BHB is great layout for small camper   :)

Post pics when you have them, we all like to see the rarer floor plans.

Scott Tuttle no longer owns Livin Lite.

He is part of InTech Campers now.

Livin Lite is now owned by the a-holes at Thor, they ruin every company they buy so a word of warning; the new campers you want to purchase will not be the same quality of camper Scott built. Import at your own risk.

order new tubing in the same dimensions from McMasterCarr and drill the holes.

Might even be able to get a thicker tube if there is room for that.

The tenting is flawed in some way.

I had a 2010 10.0 and it never leaked. Camped one week in torrential downpours and not one drop got in, didn't even season it before use.

So now inferior tenting is another Thor gift to their customers. Thor corporation is run by a-holes.

We are looking for one, wish you were closer. :(

It is totally worth driving to get a well cared for camper at a good price. I drove 4 hours to get mine and if you read a lot on the forums some people have driven more than double that. Just my $0.02

CampLite Travel Trailers / Re: Slide will not move

On my 21bhs the slide controller is above the fridge. There is a small access panel screwed to the wall above and to the right of the freezer door.
