Excellent...thanks for the help.
One of my concerns that it is so large it is going to come in contact with the steel somewhere...it's a huge lock..lol

I am researching trailer locks. I am interested in this beast in particular https://www.provenlocks.com/collections/all?page=1
I'm assuming it's steel, I do have an email in to the company asking what it is.
My question is...if it is steel, will there be a corrosion problem with my trailers frame? I am so new at all of this..I don't even know if this is a silly question or not! Thanks for any help.

Jamie, just read your post and I am so sorry for your troubles. that being said, you seem to have a good sense of humor and outlook on life, and I think you will always land on your feet.. Even tho I felt sorry for you, your writing and story telling was enjoyable. Hope that makes sense. Good luck and happy trails to you, my friend.

I'm wondering if I need one as well. Picking up the trailer in a few weeks. I hope it will be ok to make the trip from Illinois to back home in Maryland without one and see how it goes.

Crappy, I'm fortunate to be able get to Assateague in 30 mins, so I go kayaking there often. I like your kayak carrier. What brand is it , and how do you like it?

Just for reference as to dealers getting 2018s in their possession.....I bought a 2018 that was on the dealers lot as of 1 week ago (July 8th, 2017).
Dealer is in Illinois.

Thanks for the replies. Just bought mine, haven't taken possession of it yet. So I am still in the "did I make the right decision??" phase.  Nice to hear good things, as these very things that led me to purchase my Camplite.

Hi! I just bought the same model but a 2018, and I am a total trailer newbie as well. It seems we are starting this journey together! First trip will be at the end of August when we pick up our trailer in Illinois. I hope to learn from this group. 🙂

Hello from the other side of the country! I am in Maryland's Eastern shore. I just bought a 2018 of the same trailer as yours. I will pick up my new camper towards the end of August. I am previous tent camper, totally new to travel trailers. So much to learn 🙂.

Stopping in to say hello! Just purchased a 2018 CL16TBS. I am excited and scared to death...lol. I have tent camped for my whole life and finally moved up to my dream, a travel trailer. I hope to learn from everyone, I'm such a newb ..yikes. I will apologize in advance for all the silly questions I'm likely to ask. 🙂 I will be picking up my new camper 8/20 in Illinois...long trip home for this newbie. Fingers crossed 👍🏻
