The 12 volt system doesn't work well at all. I turn on the propane the night before leaving and level the trailer. Nice and cold in the am. I will not recommend it but a lot of us tow with the propane on. Make sure you turn it off when stopping for gas.

I have an above floor mount pedestal base.

We repurposed a 12 X 12 camping awing on our 6.0 by adding a mating zipper to it.

We didn't flip but removed the valances in the slide out and above the sink.  They serve no purpose.  We kept the ones by the beds since it is a great place for glasses, phones and flashlight.

Upgrades and Modifications / Re: A/C soft start

I have heard great things about this soft start:  https://www.microair.net/products/easystart-364-3-ton-single-phase-soft-starter-for-air-conditioner using a 2000 watt generator.

I have a 3000 Watt generator and when I inquired with Mircoair they told me I do not need their product since my 13.5 AC will run off our generator.

That saves something about that company.

Nice work you did here.

We considered doing the same but found out you can disconnect the support at the bottom and kick it out enough to open the window.  It has its pluses and minues since it creates a head banging opportunity and the dog's lead can get tangled in it too.

As DJS stated the wheel wells are most likely the culprit of the leak.  It was on ours.  We took it back to the dealer and it was still under warranty for the repairs.  This is "common" issue that should not still be repeating coming off the line.  Happy Trails!

I used a cheap blue tarp with pool floation noodles on top, to allow air circulation, to cover our 6.0 camper.  Enjoy!

Safety Jim, going from memory from when I had a 6.0 I believe the weight limit was 500lbs on the bed.  So you are close to the limit.  The "Jeep" version of the 6.0 may have a better support than ours did.  The 6.0 is a smaller camper.  It works for a couple.  Very light and sturdy camper that lets you sleep off the ground under canvas.  You might want to consider going up one size to a 8.0.  One great product I will recommend for a light pop up camper is the BAL leveler jack.  Nice item to get that camper all leveled up while camping on uneven terrain.  Happy Trails,

Try camping in a State Park campground without hook ups for a three day weekend to get the feel of it.  We "dry camp" all the time with our 16 TBS.  I also have an 80 W Solar panel left over from our pop up camper and we have gone for a week without any issues.  If you get a solar panel I would recommend a minimum of 100W.  We did get a smaller Briggs and Stratton 3000 generator.  The challenge you run into is getting one that will run your AC if camp in the south which the B&S is just at the limit of running.  We did get a blue dump tank with wheels and have had to use that to dump the gray tank on occasion since the shower fills that tank up quickly.  Happy Camping.

Gotcha all I have ever found is lights, vacuum and fans but I have heard of tales coffee pots and other items that work off the "cigarette" plug.

Google find this:  https://www.wired.com/2012/06/cigarette-lighter-gadgets/

We had a 6.0. With a couple and a dog it was tight. Adding kiddos will make it too tight.

Check by the dinette near the bed hinge.

I was told not to jack on the aluminum frame since it could warp the frame.  If do jack there use a board to distribute the weight so the jack head does not punch a hole in the aluminum tube.  I changed both my tires yesterday and used a bottle jack, bought just for this situation, resting on a 6x6 and jacked the steel axle up and used a jack stand since I was changing all the tires.

When we cook inside we run the roof fan to keep the smoke detector from sounding.
