Title: Upgrading Tire Size
Post by: gabe1475 on October 14, 2018, 10:22:49 AM
Hi, I purchased a 2014 quicksilver 10.0 and drove it home this weekend, very happy with our purchase.  One of the first things I noticed is the very small tire size on the trailer.  My Kayak trailer has 13"s and never had any issues.  given that these were 12s, we decided to take it easy and kept the speed at 63mph for most of the trip home.

My question is can the tires be upgraded to 13s or even 14s? without any issues of rubbing against tire wells?

Besides the actual tires, any concerns with the axel bearings if going a bit faster, say 70mph.  Not looking to fly, but would like to be able to keep up with traffic on most roads.  Does Livin Lite chime in on this?

we regularly go 75-80 mph with our 10.0    We did upgrade to radial tires which are better at higher speeds
