General Q & A / Towing a 10.0 w/ a Subaru Outback
May 16, 2017, 12:50:16 PM
Anyone here towing a 10.0 with an Outback? I have a 2013 Outback and the wife has a 2016. We are considering either an 8.0 or a 10.0. with a rear deck. Any issues towing the 10.0 with an Outback? Are electric brakes a necessity? How do they do hauling the trailer in moderate to extreme topography (through hills and mountainous regions)?

General Q & A / Dry Weight/Hitch Weight
May 16, 2017, 12:27:18 PM
What is the correct Dry Weight and Hitch Weight for the 8.0? On the website it lists the Hitch Weight as 185 and the Dry Weight as 1040, by contrast it lists the Hitch weight on the 10 at 135 and the Dry Weight as 1190. Is the Hitch Weight really that much more on the smaller trailer and is there really that little of a Dry Weight difference (150 LBS). The website below lists the Hitch Weight of the 8.0 as 110 and the Dry Weight as 865. Which is correct and why would the Hitch Weight on a smaller trailer be greater (and significantly greater at that) than the larger trailer?

QuickSilver Tent Campers / Zamp Solar
March 27, 2017, 04:03:28 PM
Are any of you guys using the portable Zamp solar to power/recharge your trailers? If so how well does it work? Any problems? What items are you able to power and for how long. Ideally I would like to power fans, lights and possibly a small television, dvd player, or lap top and have the ability to recharge phones and other small electronics. My understanding is that the system does not support deep cycle lithium ion batteries, is this correct. I also understand that the portable Go Power solar can be used as they provide an adaptor with their system. Do any of you know if the Go Power will work to charge a lithium ion battery?
