Just for reference my 2018 16TBS has a single 4400lb Dexter axle.

Interesting, and that's what I would expect mine should have been. What size tires? Mine are 205 /75 R14.

Thanks.............David

6 lug wheels and 225/75r15 tires

My 16TBS has a master battery disconnect switch in the front compartment.
Could there be one in the Quicksilver that is turned off?

I just moved it up and more in the corner of the storage compartment.

Keep in mind even if you find them they are usually very thin- not sure I'd trust mounting a high load item like a ladder to them.

Lots of times with aluminum framed campers with a cold night then a quick warmup with higher humidity will outline the framing for you.
Of course depending on where you are and weather that might be awhile...

Towing with no water is safer still ;)
BUT- we have been in several areas in the US west where you better have a full tank as many campgrounds have NO water.  Some have water at a hand pump not near the roads so that is tedious to refill a bucket and a decent walk back to where you could get a camper.   I remember one in particular that took a dozen long strokes on a 4ft handle to even start getting water, and if you quit pumping for 5 seconds you had to start all over- WHEW!

Curious does your tank have a flat bottom- the tank in my 16TBS is designed to be suspended by the perimeter lips and that is NOT how LL mounted it.
The tank has a molded in trough on the bottom that they crushed by using under supports >:(

Gonna start a thread about that over on  aluminumcamperforum.com

Are the 14's just straps?
My 16TBS has 3 roughly 1x2 aluminum rectangle tubes supporting the fresh water tank.

General Q & A / Re: Is delamination a issue?

Since there is nothing in my trailer that will soak up water (like wood) there's little chance for any buckling between materials.

Exactly- a major cause of delamination IMO is wood swelling when wet.    Azdel and fiberglass don't swell if they get wet.

I actually moved that step light switch- it can get accidently turned on by contents in the compartment bumping it on rough roads.  Bad design.  Should have never been put there in the first place.

You can even do what is called dispersed camping in US Forest Service or BLM lands where you can camp anywhere as long as you don't block a road.

Just a heads up- some National Forests don't allow dispersed camping in other than designated spots.    Some don't allow it at all.
It can be a real hodgepodge figuring it out- best to check with the particular National Forest you are considering.
I don't know about BLM as I've never camped in one.

I think it was a pressure tactic.

I just paid the annual property tax on my 2018 16TBS.  The tax authority hit me with a value much more than I paid for the unit.  About $3K more.*
Went down there to protest by showing them my bill of sale and they reduced it to that value- but said next year is anybody's guess as they get the values from NADA and other sources.  Point being over a year after I bought NADA values the unit at more than I paid new.

There is very little proprietary in most campers- all the appliances are industry standards and in the case of Livin'Lite all the ones I've seen do not have one off fiberglass end caps etc.   So, IMO, the manufacturer being gone would have little bearing on value, especially after a couple of years.

*Chatting with the lady at the tax office I commented that even though we are happy with our Camplite if someone wanted to buy it for $3K more than I paid for it I'd gladly let it go. ;)

Get Together / Re: Camping Ideals

We towed to the campground, picked our site and backed in. We chocked the wheels, unhooked (but kept the chain on), leveled the camper, dropped the corner scissor jacks and unhooked the chain and drove the TV forward a bit.

That keeping the chain hooked up is very important- until you are absolutely certain the trailer won't roll!
Many years ago I unhooked the chains once before I lifted a trailer off the ball...watched in horror as it moved about 2 ft-   whew! That was close...
Lesson learned to always leave the chains on until last when unhooking. ;)

My less than year old 2018 16TBS is also displaying the cracks in the same areas....
I would imagine they will also be recalled at some point.
