QuickSilver Tent Campers / Re: any quicksilver tc1's for sale?
« on: July 03, 2021, 12:33:28 AM »
Livin Lite sold out to Thor and then was basically shut down several years later.  So no, they aren't made anymore. Closest in concept is ATC trailer.
The TC1's are out there. I've seen several in the last year online. Seem to run about $3k. Check Facebook marketplace (change your location to different areas that you are willing to drive to, craigslist by using searchtempest.

Contact Challenger Door in Indiana. If you have the stickers on the doors themselves they can match them up quite easily. They have a pretty good for us Livin Lite owners, but it will still cost you. I paid around $550 for a complete side door/screen door assembly last year. Not too hard to replace.
I dealt with Amos Bontrager

The couple I've had have been the CH751. Prior owner may have changed them. Maybe the RV dealer has a bunch of standard keys and could try several different ones. Or find a locksmith.

General Q & A / Re: 2015 TBS wheel upgrade
« on: May 05, 2021, 01:08:30 PM »
You can increase the wheel size, but would need to work with the tire shop to get tires that are approximately the same outer diameter. Unless you are planning on lifting the trailer as well. Then you could go a little bigger with the tires as well. Obviously double check the lug nut pattern to make sure it matches.

CampLite Travel Trailers / Re: Electrical wiring schematic

It may have just fried the converter itself. If you are willing to do some work, you could test the appliances by unplugging them from the trailer and testing them with an extension cord. May have gotten lucky and they are okay. For the converter probably an RV shop. Or maybe you know an electrician? They should be able to replace that if you get the parts. Upgrade the converter while you at it.

I would get under the trailer and inspect all welds, both at the axles and the frame welds too. You are basically looking for cracks starting to form. If you are not comfortable with that, then you should take it to a good welding shop and have them check all the welds and show you what to look for. You should be checking this after every trip, and maybe after severe pothole hits. If the aluminum has started to crack, it can probably be repaired before it gets worse.

QuickSilver Toy Haulers / Re: Exterior panels pitting, bubbling, rotting
« on: February 05, 2021, 01:44:38 PM »
All of the exterior doors were made by Challenger door. They have some wood on the inside and get moisture in there. Then they start to corrode from the inside out.
Warranty- nope
Replacement-Contact Challenger Door. There should be a white label on every door. It will let them know the correct size, color, etc.
Price- I paid $550 for a new entry door with screen and new locks. That included tax and shipping in 2020. Obviously shipping will depend on where you live. I would think the ramp door could get send, but they will be able to tell you.
You would either need to replace them yourself or have an RV shop do the work. Entry door wasn't too bad, haven't tried a ramp door yet.

Product Questions and Recommendations / Re: Roof Vent Cover
« on: August 04, 2020, 02:09:35 PM »
Forte vent covers, any RV store would have them. Mainly have to match up the hinge. For the loading lights, just need to get from a farm type store or trailer. I would switch to LED's and look for a base that matches yours. Otherwise you may have to make a bracket.

Not too hard. Use searchtempest to search Craigslist as far away as you want.
Check rvtrader, Facebook, and aluminumcamperforums.com.
They were discontinued because Livin Lite sold out to Thor RV, then it was shut down in 2018 or 2019.

General Q & A / Re: Other Places to Search for Quicksilver to Buy?
« on: July 09, 2020, 10:01:37 PM »
Use searchtempest for Craigslist
Vary your search terms. Ie, quicksilver,  quick silver,  living lite, livin lite, etc. If the poster spelled it wrong,  you won't see it in the results.
FB marketplace only searches out 100-200 miles. You should be changing the city to other locations. Ie Denver, phoenix, salt Lake, and so on.
I see quite a few of the popups when I look around the US.
Also, aluminumcamperforums website has a for sale section.
