Rock the video was very interesting.  However, I bought an ALUMINUM trailer; not what they are offering now.  And yes 30 years properly maintained puts the trailer in the Air Stream class of long lasting well built trailer. By the way Thor owns air stream also.  My Casita had floor delamination from road vibration.  I replaced the inner floor and sold it for the larger Camp Lite because we wanted more room.  It was a 1999 Casita MSRP of about $10,000. then now about $18,000 now for the same model..  After 18 years I accepted $8,000.00 for it.  They say this year NADA is about $4,000.00 on the Casita; good LUCK finding one for that price. So in the end what I am saying is I do not think these current product changes will result in Living Lite having outstanding resale value.  Look at most trailers and in 10 years they are almost worthless.  Living Lite was built as a generation trailer when the company began production.  It is sad to see sales is the only thing Thor cares about and not the owner who may bring them new sales.

Having previously owned a Casita "All Fiberglass" trailer for 16 years before getting a Camplite 21RBS I can tell you Fiberglass is SH*T. The plastic floor is SH*T over the overbuilt Aluminum floor, and the TPO swimming pool roof is SH*T.  Thor has RUINED Camplite. I would NEVER buy the current product !

You can tell me how great all this new stuff is and I will ask you will the trailer last 30 years?  Not without delamination of the fiberglass, and a TPO roof it will not.

Is there any interest in starting Local Chapters of a Camp-outs , rally's, and meet and greets among us?
In a former life and with a former trailer we hosted an annual rally in Florida in the Winter months. We did it for years and averaged about 30 trailers at the Rally.

We just arrived back after a very pleasant trip to Illinois, Branson, MO. and Theodore. AL.   Where is you dealer in FL? The keys is where your dealer is at; 8+ hours away.  Theodore is 9 hours away. Do you consider that local?   My dealer RV Collision and Sales is a family run business and I love these folks.  BUT please this was as local as I could get. AND IT"S NOT LOCAL - I wish he was ... boy would I support him and send buyers.

PS When we bought there was a dealer in Jacksonville, FL but they had ZERO trailers to look at. 3 1/2 hours away. Can't sell what we can't see.  Someone should consider the 2018 RV Supershow in Tampa Florida - January!  I would volunteer to sell for you there - You would need the frame trailer as in the Utube video as well as SEVERAL trailers.

DAN MILLER:

I have NO issues with my windows. I too would like you to keep us informed should I need a window in the future.  Can you list the sizes for my 2016 mfg date licensed as a 2017 model 21RBS unit?  I know the kitchen is 300x 500mm what are the 2 bed and 1 couch window?  Bed windows seem identical.

Thank you.  Seems Livin Lite is listening.

I am so sorry for new owners. My 2017 21RBS, has the aluminum floor covered with vinyl flooring. No floor leaks to date. I do have the TPO roof which will be changed to aluminum as soon  as my warrantee expires.

I would NOT buy a new Living Lite for the reasons you have raised.  I CAN NOT recommend the current product!  So Sad!  I really love my trailer, but not the new ones.

I. may be looking into an Oliver or Big foot if we ever sell our 21BRS.

Shame on you THOR!

TENSION RODS from Bed bath and Beyond.  You set a screw on the rod, NO DRILLING.  Today, I took that bubble wrap insulation and made full panels to cover windows to keep sun out and improve cooling in summer/ heat in winter.  They pop in and out just like the ones made for car windshields.  They fit in the tracks for screen/shade.

A good jack; we got a 3 ton for the Tundra and 21RBS.  Suggest Aluminum one; steel ones are HEAVY.  Also wood block to fit jack.  Tires always go flat in soft soil, I learned this lesson from Murphy who's always there to mess with things.

Suggest you get a V8 Tundra. then you'll have NO issues and plenty of power.  I have a Tundra we pull the LL 21rbs with; and a Nissan frontier that wishes he could pull it loaded... LOL

On our 21BRS we went to Bed Bath & Beyond (after measuring windows in Trailer) and purchased tension rods and curtains.  Works like a charm. Matched our walls with a beige machine washable curtain and the rods are  inside the box valances.  Only window we chose not to do was the kitchen one - I personally do not like curtains near a stove.  Width was a stock 24 inch panels; length varies. We have the Alpine color interior.

We had our mattress custom made here in Florida by the Original mattress factory.  We bought 2 sets; one complete set for home and one top mattress for our 21RBS.  They put it in our trailer and our house.  You can have them remove old mattress for an additional charge.  We love them!!!  Only down side was they are a heavy and the bed struts will not hold them up like the light OEM mattress.

So how do you get lens off?  Did not see any screws holding lens and do not want to break a fixture - more detail please?
