The negativity and sarcastic comments by some are becoming, quite honestly, a little childish and troll-ish. 

I get it.  You don't like some of the changes, but others do.  Two of my friends found my QS too cold and industrial but love the new, softer look.  One has already purchased a QS and is picking it up this weekend while the other will be purchasing come the Spring (needs a better TV).  All of us selected Livinlite based upon one ultimate factor:  Size to Weight Ratio.

I have cleaned it myself using mild soap and water. I am able to do everything but the top by using a stool.  I have used a ladder and car wash brush to do the top.

I have noticed that this summer has been especially humid and we have received more than our share of rain, so I too am getting mildew spots..................mind you that I am on my third season.  I purchased a vinyl mildew cleaner that is labelled for marine and RV use.  I spot tested it with excellent exterior results and it took about 4 weeks before spots reappeared.  The tent will be getting some extra care in the coming weeks before we pack up for the season. 

I do remove the tent every year and store it in a safe and dry place.  I can remove it alone and have put it back on alone, but it is more of a two or three person job.  I also find it difficult to properly dry the tent when it is not on the trailer.   

You will only find what you are looking for at a dealer, while viewing a specific trailer.  The specific information that you are looking for will be written on specific trailer trailer.

That said, follow your TV manufacturer's manual.  If your TV is good for 1,500 w/electric brakes then that is what you follow.  Tow capacity is much, much more than just vehicle weight and engine size.  It is also about brakes, transmission, suspension, frame structure, etc. 

The Rav 4, like many so-called SUVs, are nothing more than cars that are heavier. As an example, a 2016 Ford Escape's towing capacity varies from 1,500 to 3,500 all depending upon model and options.  My friend's 4-cylinder Caravan has no towing capacity, but that same model year advertises 3,600 with an asterix........if properly equipped.

A new QS 10.0 is around 1,200 empty without any options.  Add your gear and passengers to the mix and I can guarantee you will be overweight.

I remember reading about someone who did it but that may have been in the Yahoo Group.  I can't find the photos.

He built a removable rack that kept the canoe off of the tonneau cover.  The canoe's gunwales could easily rub through the tonneau cover.  If I remember correctly he used some 2"x4" lumber, ratchet straps and some foam padding.  It was a very simple design.

The manual states "mild detergent".  I have been using mild, but premium quality, dish soap with a soft car-wash brush and been getting pretty decent results. 

Smart idea with the hazard triangles.  Those are always in my Jeep. 

Never thought about #2 Robertson.

I took out on benches and chairs as well.  Replaced the "missing bed" with a camp cot and purchased some plastic bins.  The bins fit under the camp cot leaving us with much more room.

I am headed out on a much longer trip in the coming weeks covering about 3,000km.  I have prepped a small tool box that includes battery powered impact wrenches, common sockets, common hand wrenches, common screw drivers, voltmeter, spare fuses and of course, the "Typical Handy Man Combo" of duct-tape and WD-40. Is there anything that you bring for emergency road and campsite repairs?     

Some have it and like it.  I went the easier route by purchasing a 10x10 easy-up tent.

I purchased a 1.5" memory foam topper and added it to the current mattress.  It seems to be to my wife's liking.  I leave it in place and don't have issues closing the trailer.

I tried it on the weekend but only had two.  They didn't do much for the tonneau cover but I did use them for sword fights.

Thanks to these videos, I may have just sold a QS.  Do I get commission?

This is my first season camping with a QS 10.0 and I'm having the same issue.
I don't follow exactly how to use the pool noodle idea.  The front of the toneau cover (nearest the vehicle) doesn't have snaps.  Is the idea to put the pool noodle in between two snaps to allow more air under the cover?

The pool noodle runs the length of the trailer.  If you cut a slit in the noodle, it should fit over the bed couplers. This should increase the air flow under the tonneau cover while also making it tighter and protecting it from the couplers.

I'll try to post a pic on the weekend.

I have yet to see anything that will prevent trailer theft, but there are plenty of items that will slow thieves down and keep honest people honest. 

Slower air is flowing under the cover and faster air is flowing over it.  This creates lift, just like on a plane.  What is happening is normal and I have the same thing happen to me as soon as I am driving over 60kph. 



Some have used pool noodles under the cover to increase airflow and they have state that this has improved the situation.  I have yet to try it myself since I am not overly concerned. All of my trips are a short distance away.  I am planning a longer trip this summer so I will experiment a bit.
