That would be better answered from the group here as I personally do not know if too many people actually do balance them.  When we purchase them they are already mounted on rims and I have never seen any balance weights on any of them.

I would definitely balance the tires.  The spin at the same rate as car tires and can cause significant vibration into the camper when towing at highway speeds.  You may not feel it in the tow vehicle, but things in the camper could be shaking pretty strong.

I just logged in to report the same thing...
I have a 2014 16DBS that I purchased new in 2015 and has less than 5000 miles.  It has tandem axels and only the right rear tire is wearing differently - to the rear bars on the outside.
They are are OEM Vail Tires - ST 175/80D/13.
Is this potentially an alignment issue on the rear axel???  Can this be fixed?  We no longer have dealer in the hood.  Nearest one is now 350 miles.
Thanks...

Jack the trailer up and try to wiggle the tire.  It could be you have a loose wheel bearing and that is causing that tire to have an incorrect camber when weight is placed on that axle.

It could possibly be a defective tire, sounds odd but I've seen it before on a car. If a belt has snapped, missing a section or something similar, it could happen.

Agree.  Are these the original tires?  If so, the ones that came on mine (Vail) were junk.  At first all tires were wearing evenly and then I had one replaced under warranty due to a slit in the sidewall.  That Vale tire wore MUCH more quickly than the other tires, even when I rotated them.  I replaced them Carlisle Radial Trail RH tires (now Radial Trail HD).  they are excellent and wear evenly.

CampLite Travel Trailers / Re: Roof Weight Limit

I'm about 200 pounds and I can walk on the roof of my 21BHS with no problem.  It is a 2013 with the aluminum roof.

The article I saw was a few months ago. I didn't have a camper 7years ago.  :)

I do remember the review of the installation and performance was very positive.

The MORryde system got an excellent review in a recent issue of Trailer Life.  It is basically a much improved system for linking the leaf springs of the two axles.

The Vail tires on my 21BHS were garbage.  I had one replaced by Lionshead due to a slit that was molded into the sidewall of the tire.  I drove the trailer from Florida out to Arizona and Utah and back, and then a year later up to Tennessee.  When I returned to Florida from Tennessee there was a huge slit in the tread of one tire and you could lift the tread from the tire about 3" wide.  I had about 8,000 miles on the tires and figured enough was enough.  I replaced them with Carlisle Radial Trail RH tires, which have been great.

Most of the items in the trailer that can break are standard camper appliances/parts made by a few major companies.  As a result, getting service is not an issue.  In addition, since LivinLite is part of Thor, the base of service centers to provide warranty work is large, including Camping World.  Now as David says above, the quality of that work will vary widely.

After the acquisition by Thor, there have been some teething issues, but they seem to be working out.  I've found their responsiveness to be good, for the small number of issues I had to deal with them directly.  I had warranty work done at my dealer in Lakeland, FL, even though they no longer carried the Camplites.  No problem at all.  I did have a couple of roof leaks, but that was easily solved with a tube of Dicor self leveling caulk.

To me, the important thing to consider is how will the trailer hold up in spite of the inevitable issues/leaks that will occur.   In the case of the Camplites, they are extremely durable.  If you have a leak, the walls and flooring will not rot.  The camper is extremely solid with even the cabinetry integral to the structure of the camper.  My 21BHS has traveled from Florida out to Utah and Arizona and up to Tennessee.  After almost 4 years, the camper is as solid as it was the day we brought it home.  Over that time, we replaced the air conditioner under warranty due to a split tube, and I've replaced the tires.  Other than that, no issues.

Look at as many different models of campers you can.  My wife and I did and while many others seemed to look more "luxurious", none seemed as solid as the Camplite.  We found ourselves comparing every camper to the Camplite.  When we realized that, we knew our choice was made.  While it hasn't been perfect, we feel that over the long haul, we made the right decision.  Many people replace their campers every 5 years or so.  The Camplite will last much longer than that.

Hope this helps.

My Ram 1500 can easily tow my 21BHS with no WDH.  However, I use the Andersen hitch and much prefer that.  Much better towing experience, just in terms of bouncing and peace of mind.

Dan,

Just received these yesterday.  They are exactly what I was looking for, with plenty for spares now.  Thanks.

General Q & A / Re: 2013 Livin Lite VRV
March 06, 2017, 02:38:21 PM
Thanks Alan.  This looks very similar to what I'm seeing, especially along the trim edges of my cargo door.  My main entrance door is nowhere as extensive as what you are experiencing, but I'm sure it is progressing.

Thanks for posting.

Please post any information regarding this.  My 2013 Camplite 21BHS is getting the same blistering along the bottom painted area of the main entrance door as well as one of the cargo doors.

Thanks,

Doug

Can you provide a source for the exterior screws used on the Camplite 21BHS (2013).  I need a few of them, but not sure of their size, and material beofre I try to find them.  I need to ones that hold the armor plating on around the base of the camper (see photo):
