I'm having the same issue in the lower right corner of the door.  There is a tag on the door with the company name and part number.  I'm not home right now so I can't look at it.  But, I did look at the company's web site and it appears as though the part number includes the color.  The only thing you wouldn't have is the graphics.  I may try taking my door apart and resealing it.

Thanks Doug.   This started early last week. I was expecting a mess this AM.  still a bit to clean up. 1st day back.
Hope you had a good 4th!

Had a nice 4th, but HOT.  Good luck with the mess.  I think it is caused by agents along the FOREST RIVER in the HEARTLAND of Russia!  ;D

I did report one of the initial posts to Dan.  He replied.  Apparently he is dealing with quite a few hacking issues right now.  And as tinkeringtechie stated, it is probably a long weekend.  Dan has his hands full right now.

So how do you get lens off?  Did not see any screws holding lens and do not want to break a fixture - more detail please?

On my 2013 21BHS, you squeeze the cover and slide it to the outside (away from the center).

In our 21BHS, the control box is located behind a small cover on the wall next to the refrigerator.  The cover is near the slide and up near the ceiling.  Remove the screws hold the cover in place and the control box should be there.  I believe Dan posted links to some troubleshooting videos as well.  I'll try to post some of those links in another message.

Covers are used on autos that will spend more time sitting in the sun than driving on the road. Think a covered restored car for use on special occasions only. Many times RV tires don't get worn down for 7-10 years so the Sun is the killer, not mileage wear. I'd bet this is why many folks buy less expensive ST trailer tires instead of more expensive trailer radials and LT tires for their trailers.

Like Djsamuel I too run balanced trailer radials. Maxxis is another good tire to add to his list.

Good point on the covers and sun.

Also, thanks for mentioning Maxxis.

We got about 8,000 miles out of 3 of the original tires until one split in the tread.  One was replaced under warranty due to a molding defect in the sidewall.  We replaced them with Carlisle Radial Trail RH tires, now Radial Trail HD.  Thay have been excellent.  The new Goodyear Endurance tires are supposed to be really good and are made in the US.

Thanks Dan.  This is a big help.

Yes it is getting warmer now, but we are finally getting rain!  It's been really dry and some wildfires.  Much better after 6" of rain over the last 3 days.

The heat isn't bad and then it beautiful from November to May.  :D

Thanks again,

Doug

Dan,

If the coupler has nothing to do with GVWR, why does my 2013 21BHS have a GVWR of 5,000 pounds?  The installed axles have a capacity of 3500 pounds each?  The camper has a 2" coupler marked with a 5,000 pound capacity.

Do you have the part number for the new coupler in case I decide to upgrade to the larger ball size?

Thanks

They are not made to be serviced.

Thanks Dan.  I didn't think I could do much with them, however, the ones on my trailer are a little different in that there are no visible mounting screws.  Are the ones you listed the ones that Livinlite now uses on the Camplites?  I assume they would be a suitable replacement for the ones currently installed.

Thanks again,

Doug

Basically, the limiting factor is now the axles.  The axles have a combined capacity of 5,000 pounds and the tongue weight is 468 for a GVWR of 5468.  My 2013 21BHS with the torsion axles (3500 pound capacity each) has a GVWR of 5,000 pounds which was the weight limit for the hitch.  So they increased the hitch capacity (I believe the went with the larger ball size) but decreased the axle capacity.

Is there any documentation about the LED tail lights on my 2013 21BHS? They are made by Optronics but I can't find information showing how to take the cover off and remove them. I have a few rows of LEDs out and I would like to take a look at fixing or replacing the light. I can't figure out how to get the cover off. Thanks.

Looking at the specs for your vehicle (https://pressroom.toyota.com/releases/2016+toyota+highlander+product+specs.download) it shows your payload capacity at 1385 pounds.  The tongue weight of the trailer will be about 12% of the weight, which at 5,000 pounds would be 600 pounds.  That leaves 785 pounds for cargo in the Highlander, which includes fuel, passengers, luggage, etc.  It also shows a max tongue weight of 500 pounds with the tow prep package.

I tow a 21BHS with a Ram 1500 and it tows easily and doesn't squat at all. But, I have plenty of margin in my specs.  I don't know how much you'll be able to improve the towing, but if you are only planning short level trips you may be OK.  I've towed from Florida out to Utah and Arizona, as well as into the mountains of Tennessee.  I don't know if I'd want to do that in the Highlander.  If you like Toyota, a Tundra or Sequoia would be better options.

Remember, only the tongue weight gets added as cargo when determining if you've exceeded your GVWR. Figure 600 pounds tongue weight. You are fine with an F250.

The OP has a truck camper.

David

Oh geez! I totally read over that. My apologies!
