We have a 2018 CL 21 RBS Platinum.  We have had no problems with it other than the one I caused by turning the electric  water heater on before filling the hot water tank.  This burnt out the electric heater element.  Very easy to replace and totally my fault.  There was a recall for cracks in the frame but our unit didnt have any.  We still had the work done.  We have gone for full hook up camping and for complete dry camping with a generator.  The CL 21 was great in both cases.  I do have the benefit of a great dealer in our area.  Gerton Auto Sales in Mt Vernon, Indiana.  We are planning a 6,000 mile trip in May to Rocky Mountain NP then on to Yellowstone for a week.  We look forward to it and have no doubt our CL will perform as expected as has up to now.  In short....we love it.  No rust no rot.

Not sure how my comment got placed below your question but it has been.  I was actually commenting on an entry that was in a foreign language and wasnt about your question.  Apologies anyway, though not aimed at you.

Newbie, I'm sure you have a meaningful comment to make.  But if your comments are not in English, few people will understand them.

General Q & A / Re: Manufacture Recall Repair Issue
March 22, 2019, 10:01:31 AM
I had the work done a couple months ago.  It was set up by my dealer and done in a certified welding shop.  Very easy.  A bar was added to support the tongue and the spare tire was moved to the rear.  I had no problem scheduling it but I have a very good dealer in my area.  Gerton Auto Sales, My Vernon, In.

We have a 2018 CL 21 RBS.  Last summer I pulled out of a spot in the White Mountains and scrapped off a letter from the Camplite Decal.  My dealer ordered a new decal for me from whomever is operating Livin Lite now.  It took several weeks but it arrived.  My point is, your dealer should be able to order your part as I am sure your wheel well trim is a more important part than my decal.  If not, try my dealer.  Gerton Auto Sales, Mt Vernon, Indiana.  Im sure he can advise you.

How much are you asking?

We have a 2018 CL21RBS.  We purchased it Feb of 2018.  We have about 10K miles on it now.  We went through several heavy rains with no  leaking wheel well problems.

We keep our CL21 RBS in my friends warehouse in a town 25 miles from here so getting a picture isnt easy.  However, the support bar that is welded in is where the spare tire is or was in my case.  I never saw any cracks in the original bar but the additional support causes no problems.  The spare tire has been relocated to the rear bumper and is more convenient to get to though I hope to never need it.  But remember, this is aluminum and so requires a welder experienced in aluminum welding.  My dealer doesnt have an aluminum qualified welder so he had it done at a local professional welding shop.  Just another example of how my dealer, Geron Auto Sales, Mt Vernon, In takes care of customers.

Yes I took my 2018 CL 21RBS in for recall work on 12/04/2018.  My dealer is Gerton Auto Sales, Mt Vernon, In.  By the way, I have had none of the issues I read about with other owners such as leaky wheel wells, lights that dont work, slide that wont reset, ect.  I think it is because my dealer really goes over the units when he receives them prior to sale.  We have taken our trailer on several trips including 2 4K+ trips across the country.  The only problems we had were caused by our inexperience.  I burned out the water heater element because I didnt open the bypass valve on the hot water tank.  Easy to replace.  That was the worst of the problems.  I cant say enough about our dealer.  He really led us through what we needed to do to get started since this was our first travel trailer.

Just took long trip in 2018 CLl21 rbs (4000 K+).  good trip.  Learning experince.  It towed well with a 2016 F150 3.5 Ecoboost.  No problems in the mountains.  Went full hook up the whole way and that was fine but now we are interested in dry camping.  Any thoughts on generator/inverter choices?  What about extra propane and other dry camp gear I havent thought of?

CampLite Travel Trailers / RBS21 table
June 12, 2018, 03:59:02 PM
Bought a 2018 CL21RBS Platinum.  We like it a lot but does anyone have any ideas on how to make the dinette table sturdier.  I have looped tape around the end of the table mount to reduce the wobble but the whole table and table post is unsteady.  I can see a future of meals and drinks sliding off the table when someone leans their elbows on it.
