Well, long story short, I decided to remove the original main wire from my QS 8 and replace it with a high quality wire with a junction box.

However, I quickly realized that the original wire is a total mess of wire splices, under the cover of electric tape. Trying to recreate this is hard.

If electric diagram does not exist, can anyone point me to a diagram that shows what lights come on (solid or flash) under what conditions?

We have two pairs of front corner lights, both orange (front, side)
Two pairs of rear corner lights (side is red, back is orange)
Lastly we have three sets of bumper lights, sides and center, all red.

it is QS 8.0. I cleaned the tent inside nicely and now again horrible black stains. I even used the recommended silver polish on poles (BTW, I am originally Polish...) and that does not seem to help very much.

As much as I like the camper this is really frustrating, impossible to keep the tent clean.

Anyone came up with an idea to wrap those poles with some type of tape? I was thinking regular duct tape but am afraid that it would perhaps leak glue in heat.

Come on, this stupid urban legend has been debunked over and over again 50 years ago. This (attached) is excerpt from the most current version of thee Quicksilver manual.

If there is a single person (besides QS technician that wrote this bologna), that believes in this, here is the snopes article:
