CampLite Travel Trailers / Re: What are the windows like?

Just don't clean them with traditional glass window solution. Use acrylic cleaner.  You will love them.

Thanks David.  I can scrap that idea.

General Q & A / Adzel Wall Interior

If I wished to attach something to the Adzel wall on the interior might I use sheet metal screws? In other words is there an interior layer of aluminum?

Has anybody found a replacement yellow lense cover for the existing outside door light or at least the mfg. of the current fixture?

CampLite Travel Trailers / Re: Number of Axles
September 03, 2017, 03:46:30 PM
With two axles the weight distribution is more critical than with one. If front or rear pitched one set of tires is carrying a greater percentage of the load and subject to more stresses. Likewise while cornering there is greater tire scrubbing. A blow out is a blow out regardless of the number of tires requiring both skill for the driver and a lot of luck. Like the man said take dang good care of your rubber and it will take good care of you.

Thanks David.  I don't think I will be traveling with a floor or bottle jack. Nor do I like the idea of putting all the weight on the rear scissor jack and bending the frame as you suggest.  Still looking for ideas for on the road tire change if needed, but I will carry that 2 x 4.

CampLite Travel Trailers / Jack Points Tire Change
July 15, 2017, 10:11:24 AM
What is the jack point on a single or dual axel CL?  I though I read not to place the jack on the axel/torsion bar.  And will the typical auto jack do the job?

Recently returned from logging many miles on our tbs16 and appreciate the response to my question. Yes, I can add some up or down to the rear support, but not much.  More important to me is to drop the rear and remove the sag in the material that I know will collect rain water if left up during storm weather. We will be added the Dometic screen room and so once up it will stay up.

Are there instructions on how to position the Dometic awning so the one side is high than the other or to remove a low point sag so as to prevent water pooling?

Use a Master Lock long shank combo padlock on the hitch.

Thanks David. Will store that for future reference. Actually the fridge is fine and the owner is not working. We have been on the road for over a week now and the unit is performing really well. On startup, refrigerator temps were way too low and freezing so we lowered to setting #2. The result was no cooling so we raised the setting only to not have the unit respond. Panic! Following my computer guy impulse I powered it down for a reboot which apparently did the trick.

Loaded the camper including the refrigerator for a 500 mile trek to start Saturday am and no cooling.  Has performed OK to date but now barely cools the freezer.  Any ideas to save our trip besides getting out the old ice chest?

Backed off the nuts just a tad and it freed up.  Will also lube as per your suggestion.  Many thanks.  Happy trails.

CampLite Travel Trailers / Unlocking TV Swing Arm
April 23, 2017, 04:44:40 PM
Gone through just about everything on our new 16tbs without any issues until now.  We stowed the TV in the travel position and for the life of me I cannot re-open the swing arm. I assume you pull down on the strap to release the pin but short of yanging the entire assembly off the wall, it will not budge. Am I missing something?

The swing out windows don't seemed to have as many detents as I might imagine. And the smaller one over the kitchen sink has none. What's with that?

Thanks anyone.

CampLite Travel Trailers / Re: 16tbs Receiver Height

Yes and thank you I did ask that back asswards.  >:(  Surprised but shouldn't be that single axel is that high.  Good ground clearance. Having the dealing install the Anderson and will leave these issues to them.
