QuickSilver Tent Campers / Thetford O ring replacment
« on: July 18, 2020, 11:06:13 AM »
The pump for the Thetford cassette toilet in my QuickSilver 14XLP seized on me recently.  I was able to get the pump out and get the propeller free so the pump now works.  However when taking the pump out, when I pulled out the cover that seals the fresh water tank for the Thetford toilet, the O ring that was around it cracked and fell off.  I cannot seem to find information on the part number nor what size O ring it is so I can purchase a replacement.  Does anyone know the part number or size or a place to get a replacment O ring?  Since its broken into pieces its hard to get the size of the O ring.

In the attached picture, its part number 44.  However on the web site where I found it, they had no information on that part number.  Also Thetford has no information on the O ring on their site as well.

Did you ever go through with the conversion to the quick-connects?  If so what did you end up working out, and what did you use?

QuickSilver Tent Campers / Thoughts on new composite floor
« on: March 22, 2018, 06:52:57 PM »
Now that some folks have had their new 2018 Quicksilvers with the new composite flooring I would like to know what folks think of them.  I understand there was an initial shock and disappointment when the 2018's were delivered with this unannounced change.  However, now that folks have been camping with them I am just curious to see how they are holding up and what are the impressions.

I am looking to get a camper that will last a long time and want to see if I should go with a new 2018 Quicksilver that a dealer has in stock, or try to hold out and find a used one that has the older aluminum floor.

QuickSilver Tent Campers / Re: Awning Question
« on: March 22, 2018, 06:32:16 PM »
Zipping the awning on.  If you look at my tarp to camper zipper you will see a big hunk of 550 paracord used to assist in getting it zipped on and off. Others zip it on before putting up the poles.

Is there a specific zipper size that is needed to match the zipper on the Quicksilver?

Is this the type of tarp to zipper you are referring to:
