We have ordered the Proven Industries coupler lock and a Trimax Chock & Lock (see attached pics). Pricey, but not compared to the cost of the trailer! Good deterrent regardless of where you park.

The acrylic windows are double pane, and way better than the single pane glass units.

YES! In 20 degree (Fahrenheit) weather, the inside of the dual pane acrylic widows were delightfully warm! We had the heater on the lowest setting and it was super cozy inside.

If nothing hit it or climbed on it, then warranty should cover it. Contact the manufacturer with your question and pictures. It may have had some stress at the screw points that just couldn't take it anymore!

The floor! The floor! The camper really didn't need a floor strong enough to hold livestock. It's still a far cry ABOVE your average TT out there (trust me, I've researched a lot for 3 years). The important thing is inside comfort and aluminum is very good at conducting outside temperatures to the inside of your coach. Change is hard, but sometimes improvements ARE better than the original.

As for hard to find used...they're hard to find new, too. I suggest if you find one you like, new or used, buy it!! Don't wait! A new one will be more expensive, but you won't regret the quality you get. Time flies by so fast and that used one may not come along for several years! Use it while you're young.

CampLite Travel Trailers / Re: Shower curtain solutions

You may find some corner pieces in your hardware/DIY/department stores that use double-sided tape to keep your shower curtain inside the stall. Even people who don't have wheels under their houses have had this issue...and, no drilling involved!

I'm with you, Huck! Privacy makes more sense at the bottom. Our 14dbs has the same configuration as yours. I would be curious to know how the flip goes, and please include any tips and tricks.

Thanks!

General Q & A / Re: Flexible solar panels

This is a good question, and one that I have myself. Has anyone tried to add solar to your roof? How did you do it? What equipment would you recommend?
Thanks!

We joined the club! We brought our 14dbs home 3 days ago, towed by our 2014 Nissan Pathfinder. I am so psyched for the snow to melt!

Don't you enjoy all the space inside this little bitty trailer? Congratulations on your addition and Happy Camping!

New Members / Envy of Iowa in our 2018 14 DBS Platinum

Pushing my spouse to name the retirement date, and finding more arthritic joints every day, led me to purchase our AMAZING Camplite! Why wait?

We were looking at more expensive units that didn't have the all aluminum frame, Azdel sides, and enclosed underbelly (didn't want to invest that much in something that might not last). More importantly, our tow vehicle is a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder, so it had to be large enough to hold average Midwestern folk, and yet be lightweight for the car. There are a LOT of cheaply-made lightweight campers out there that just don't even come close to the quality of our new baby.

We were surprised to hear Livin Lite is ending their production, but imagined that in a few years people will be so interested to see the RARE Camplite trailers...oohing and aahhing when they pass one on the road! Perhaps in the future, there will be a renaissance for Camplite.....never say never!

General Q & A / Dexter Axle
February 10, 2018, 10:29:01 AM
Hello! We are the proud, new owners of a 14dbs Platinum, and couldn't be more thrilled!  After several years of research, our trail ended at Livin Lite's doorstep.

One of the things that sold me on the quality was the use of a torsion axle. Unfortunately, when taking delivery, I noticed that a small sticker stated that this particular unit used the Dexter leaf spring. Since I only have one axle, and it's such a light trailer, should I be concerned about safety, or just a little let down?

Thanks for this forum!
