General Q & A / Re: 110 v. 12v outlets

Ooh...that is great to know! Thanks! I'm going to check that out,

Does anyone have any ideas for placing alternative seating in lieu of the factory loveseat? (pictures welcome)

The cushions for the seat and the back are different densities, so when it's pulled into the "bed" position, there's a pillowy side by the window and the seat is hard. I'd like to place a couple of single seat recliners there, or maybe (smell the irony) a dining setup, or even get a more level jackknife loveseat. Any suggestions on where to procure said alternatives would be great. However, it's a fairly unique size, and Craig's List is not a good option. I would consider new RV furniture, or even stuff not necessarily intended for RVing.

General Q & A / Cleaning the exterior??

I have a fiberglass exterior on my 14DBS. I'm searching for suggestions for the best cleaning solution you guys have used. Does anyone have a brand that's tried and true?

General Q & A / Re: Exterior door

Your photos look like corrosion. Replacing at this point looks like the only alternative. However, it's also a good reminder to all to thoroughly wash down your RV, no matter what material it's made from, ESPECIALLY if it was ever near salt (on roads or near the ocean).

ADR - Did you create a new switch near the door inside, or just connect it to an existing switch. I'm with you on the design....the things that make you go hmmmmmmm🤔

General Q & A / Re: Is delamination a issue?
April 16, 2019, 10:30:31 PM
I decided to go with the Camplite BECAUSE of the Azdel walls and fiberglass. I had researched travel trailers for some time, and was also concerned about delamination. I have not read anything on this forum about issues with it...unless I missed it. Since there is nothing in my trailer that will soak up water (like wood) there's little chance for any buckling between materials.

;D   OR....find a friend that has some skills in this area! I'm slightly handy, but know my limitations.

Anyone in our community actually have a dedicated 12v outlet for recharging your tech gadgets? I'm curious if Livin Lite just skipped this feature altogether.

General Q & A / 110 v. 12v outlets
April 16, 2019, 07:41:16 PM
So, something a TAD annoying for us is the USB outlets do not function unless you are plugged into shore power. Is this the norm? Is there an easy fix to hardwire a 12v outlet in lieu of a 110? We do have external USB (cell phone) battery backup, but it would be nice to have a dedicated onboard outlet...in case "someone" forgets the power pack.

;) Sure....if you like the horse trailer aesthetic!

Congratulations! We took that leap this year, too. 💕 Loving our Camp Lite.

13,500 btu air conditioner is standard, but I'm no expert.

Best advice: read this forum often. There is a bunch of good information on things you didn't even know to ask.

I don't know if you have looked at the Vintage Cruiser closely, but my spouse and I had those on our original short list. They didn't have the finish quality the Camp Lite does.

We also considered a Lance 1475, Tab 400 and Little Guy Max. Camp Lite wasn't even on our radar. Once we saw the quality, we knew that the value would hold! Rare vehicles (no longer in production) tend to have a cult following. Hopefully, you will find someone looking for the quality and the chance to own something unique.

I left 3 of my 4 valances off. The one I put back on got a facelift with some new fabric and remounted with double stick hook & loop (Velcro) on the L bracket.

There is very little difference in layout of the 14DBS and the 16DBS. THE 16Tbs May differ.

Overnight in cold mountain air once in a while will NOT cause a catastrophe. I wouldn't go out for a week in March, at 10k altitude with it. I'm just saying, from personal experience for 2 nights in below freezing weather, we had no issues. Daytime temps in the 50's helped to keep things flowing.
