Title: Wheel Covers
Post by: 7thunders on October 03, 2017, 12:42:59 PM

I"ve seen many travel trailers with wheel covers.  Are they necessary? do they prevent dry rot? If I park my camper in a carport do I still need these covers, the sunlite is lessened with this carport.
Ok..i guess they are available at any RV/TRailer outlet or dealer?
thanks

I use them on my camper.  I live in Florida and the sunlight can be really strong.  I do notice the tires fade a bit after being in sunlight for a while.  The camper is not protected from the sunlight as yours is.  If it was, I may hesitate getting covers.  That said, I only bought covers after Camping World had them on a buy one get one sail and I had a $10 certificate.  I ended up paying less than $14 for two double tire covers.

I have long been told it is better to protect them from the UV, so...
