Could you provide the manual for the 2018 camplite window shades that were used? Or at least a manufacturer/model description? A number of us on the facebook owners group are having an issue where the large window shades in the slides won't stay up on their own.

Thanks

Is anyone from LL/KZ monitoring this forum anymore since Dan left? I see some recent posts, with no official replies...

Spoke with KZ/Livin Lite customer support today, and they said it's a design change on all 21BHS with the bigger black tanks installed. They also sent me the drawings that show the shower drain going into the black tank with a check valve. My trailer was completed in December 2017, so any made after that will have the shower draining into the black tank instead of the gray.

2018 21BHS, and I just verified that my shower is draining into the black tank. And no it's not leaking through the gate valves. It's definitely draining straight into the black tank. I checked it after noticing my black tank filled extremely fast on our last trip.

Has anyone else had this issue before? I'm going to remove the underbelly tomorrow to see how hard it will be to fix myself due to my dealer being 12 hours away. Does anyone without an underbelly have any pictures of how the drain is suppose to be routed to the grey tank on a 21BHS?

Forgot to mention, the load index on these tires is 104 (1984 lbs each), so x4 that = 7936 lbs at 51psi.

This is above the GVWR of 5,600 lbs, so I'm assuming I should be good with 51 psi right? Planning a long trip this weekend so I just want to make I'm not messing this up. The tires being inflated to 72 PSI at delivery is what's throwing me off!

My Off Road kit on my 2018 21BHS came with 15" LT rated tires(LT235/75R15 with a max pressure of 51 PSI cold on the sidewall. The chassis "Tire and Loading" plate calls for 65 PSI with the smaller ST20575R14D tires. To make it even more confusing. I just checked them for the first time since delivery, and they were all at 72 PSI! So which one are you suppose to go by?

I hear a lot of people saying to always go by chassis plate psi, but I've always been told to never exceed the sidewall max pressure of tires. I've deflated them all down to 51 PSI for now, and I'm debating on calling Livin Lite for a direct answer. Just wondering if anyone else has already dealt with this issue before I call. Thanks.

Not sure about the RBS but my BHS was only accessible behind the shower controls due to it being held up by a zip tie. If they didn't install the zip tie, it surely would have fell down the wall below the opening. Did you try looking down the wall with a mirror and flashlight? Other than that I would try and follow the water lines the best you can starting from the exterior hookup. I ended up removing the small panel below the shower pan and could clearly see the lines under there running up the wall. Or give Livin Lite a call and just ask them.

Well if anyone ever runs into this.. the check valve is behind the shower controls and the factory installed mine backwards. Swapped the lines and it works now.

CampLite Travel Trailers / black tank flush clogged
April 23, 2018, 01:09:19 PM
Anyone know where the check valve for the black tank flush is on a 2018 21BHS? I cant get any water to go through it. This is my first time trying to use it, and the dealer is 6 hours away so I'm not taking it back there. I tried putting 80 psi air through it with my compressor with no luck. Enclosed underbelly so I cant see up in there unless I remove it.

I even added a ladder to get up and down when traveling.

Any pictures of the ladder you added? I've been thinking of doing this too.

How about the new TPO roofs? I need to get up there to install an easystart on my AC unit. Should I lay down plywood to stand on or should it be ok? Thanks

I've been looking into replacing my dinette with a sofa as well. I tested a lot of different reclining sofas at the Seattle RV show a couple weeks ago, and nothing came close to the comfort of the Thomas Payne Momentum Theatre Seating recliners. Grand Design uses them in their 2018's. You can get them heated with massagers and lighting too. The lumbar support is great and the footrest actually raises high enough to a comfortable level. To me they were more comfortable than the recliners in the Lance trailers. The footrests in the Lance's don't come up high enough.

You can download the brochure for them here... https://www.lci1.com/thomas-payne-furniture-collection
and they sell them here... http://www.dyersonline.com/lippert-components-momentum-theater-marquee-collection-center-console.html

I'm looking at a dual recliner setup with a center console that will run about $1400 and fit inside my slide. The only setback will be the raised floor in the slide will make the seat really high. I wont notice it when I'm reclined though.

Theres also a cheaper version without the heated seats and massagers here for a couple hundred cheaper...

It's not empty, there's still close to 10 gallons in there. The drain and pump inlet fittings aren't mounted on the lowest point of the tank.

I'm having a similar issue with a 2018 21BHS I just bought. Drained my tank and the tank monitor is still showing 1/3 full. Called customer service and they told me to bring it back to the dealer which is 350 miles away :(

Did your trailers have the enclosed underbelly covering the tanks? If so, was it difficult to remove for access to the tank?

Also, Did you use the part # TSK-BBTF-100 fitting from the website link with the 1" NPT threads? Any additional info on other items needed to fix this would be much appreciated!!
