CampLite Travel Trailers / Water heater issue
September 26, 2020, 09:42:47 PM
Hi guys, any ideas on this. I have a 2017 21bhs. I always purge the propane when turning on the gas, by lightning the stove so im sure its not air in the lives. Here's the issue  - when I light the water heater, it lights instantly and roars with a blue flame, just as it should.  After about 8 - 10 mins, the flame gets weaker and weaker until it eventually goes out . If I try to relight it, I hear the solenoids and igniter but no flame. If I wait an hour or more, all is well again and mostly will be of for the rest of the trip. On one occasion,  it did this whole thing twice before operating normally.  I have cleaned the flame tube and orifice.  Its almost like the propane line has moisture in it?? When the fault is starting  the flame gets weak and travels back down the tube. You can hear that the "roar" has gone. A minute later, it will extinguish fully, until I wait for an hour. When the fault occurs,  the red light comes on next to the on / off switch,  as it should. Once it has had its "hissy fit" the light stays out and the burner cycles on and off as needed to keep the water hot.

Upgrades and Modifications / Docking lights
February 25, 2017, 07:11:52 PM
So I just added some docking lights to the underside of my 2017 21bhs. I have to reverse over a small bridge when backing in to my driveway and can never see where the wheels are going. Also, I inevitably arrive at camp sites at night, especially in the winter and have the same issue of not being able to see where my wheels are going.
I mounted 18" led strip on the underside of the outermost frame rails, just behind the wheels and ran the power to the reverse terminal (unused) in the trailer junction box. No additional relay needed due to the low draw.
I then wanted a way to activate them when disconnected so I can see the sewer connection when dark, if needed. I mounted another "vehicle side" 7 pin connector on the tongue with the power and reverse Circuits bridged through a switch. When my trailer harness is plugged in, the connector is safely stored and I can switch the led strip on and off.

Forum Recommendations / Dealer review section
January 15, 2017, 07:56:34 AM
Would a dealer review  section be a good idea? I think it would. I bought from D&H RV in Apex NC and found them to be awesome. Now, being awesome is easy when dealers are selling something and D&H truly were with the best price for miles around! The true test for me is the aftersales care. Well, we had a small issue with  poor tv and radio reception on out first outing. I called D&H who asked me to bring it over right away. They had a big show that they were attending  and then we had a  winter storm come through. Despite both if these issues, they took care of my trailer, kept me informed and fixed the issue in a very timely manner. I didn't have to call them at all as they kept me in the loop. I couldn't ask for more so thanks D&H!

New Members / Hello from NC
January 09, 2017, 08:39:16 PM
Hi everyone.  Brand new to Livin Lite having switched from our Aliner which we loved. We looked at many brands and decided that we could only be happy with the Livin Lite quality. We decided on a 2017 21bhs and had our first camping trip on the New year weekend.  Apart from poor tv and radio reception,  all was well. No leaks despite torrential rain for most of the weekend.  Very impressed so far.

Product Questions and Recommendations / recall
January 08, 2017, 07:55:58 PM
Hi, is there a vin range for this recall?

Livin' Lite Recreational Vehicles (Livin' Lite) is recalling certain model year 2017 Camplight and Quick Silver RV Trailers, Toyhaulers, and Truck Campers manufactured May 19, 2016, to November 18, 2016. The affected vehicles have a rubber liquid propane (LP) gas line connecting the range hood and the pilot light, instead of a 12″ hard pipe. Livin' Lite will notify owners, and dealers will install a 12″ copper extension between the range hood and pilot light, free of charge. The recall was expected to begin in December 2016.

Product Questions and Recommendations / Livin lite gear
January 08, 2017, 03:16:23 PM
I just switched from an Aliner to a LL 21bhs due to my expanding family. I loved the Aliner as they marketed the "way of life" very well and had a great owners club. I love the Livin Lite as it seems to be a well built product. Do Livin lite sell t-shirts?  I'll be happy to do some promoting as I'd love to see some LL events and local clubs develop.
