New Members / Re: New Member, probs with our camp lite...

I was treating the roof with protectant this past weekend and saw that the marker lights on my 2017 21bhs have been sealed at the factory. I did see a couple of burst air bubbles in the lap sealant but they do not leak as far as I can tell.

CampLite Travel Trailers / Re: CL 16 TBS vs CL 21 BHS

I agree on the site availability /size issue. Compared to many trailers  my 21 is still one of the smaller "regular " trailers on the camp site. To me, it seems like 26ft and up is where you may start narrowing availability down. I can't speak more highly of my 21bhs. Good luck with your decision!

Ok, here's my $0.02 worth. I would buy the trailer that fits your needs and comfort level. Don't worry about the extra 5ft, it is only 2.5ft on each end which is nothing really! The 16 still requires the same lane width, parking and height space, it's just a touch longer so towing it is really the same as far as skill level. The 21 is longer so easier to reverse as it is slightly less "reactive" Our 21 is easier to back up than our previous travel trailer which was a 14ft Aliner. I have driven semi trucks and can tell you that the worst trailer I have had to back up was a jet ski trailer. So, like I say, I'd buy the trailer that you feel fits your needs once at your camp site.

What a great campground!  Well worth the 4 hour drive. Of course,  it has a hot tub too!

QuickSilver Tent Campers / Re: tow vehicles for 6.0?

We towed an 1800lb Aliner with a 4 cylinder  Subaru Outback with zero issues. The smaller Impreza would do just fine I believe  and you have the added security of all wheel drive with any Subaru.

I have a 2017 21 bhs which passed final inspection on 4/7/16. As far as quality goes, I have been very impressed so far. I see different weights noted for this model and would love to know for sure what mine is. I'm guessing that makes mine a #3? Although,  mine does have an azdel sticker on the outside.

The furnace will empty the tanks reasonably quickly. We camped for two nights over New Year and kept the thermostat at a comfortable temperature and burned through 1/3 of a tank. We were running it in the day for some if the time also and used the stove a couple of times. The fridge was running on electric and the water heater was not used. I'd  figure on about a tank for every 5-7 days if running the furnace.

Forum Recommendations / Dealer review section
January 15, 2017, 07:56:34 AM
Would a dealer review  section be a good idea? I think it would. I bought from D&H RV in Apex NC and found them to be awesome. Now, being awesome is easy when dealers are selling something and D&H truly were with the best price for miles around! The true test for me is the aftersales care. Well, we had a small issue with  poor tv and radio reception on out first outing. I called D&H who asked me to bring it over right away. They had a big show that they were attending  and then we had a  winter storm come through. Despite both if these issues, they took care of my trailer, kept me informed and fixed the issue in a very timely manner. I didn't have to call them at all as they kept me in the loop. I couldn't ask for more so thanks D&H!

We live in the Raleigh area and have Jordan lake and Falls lake close by. Both have state recreation parks with nice facilities.  Our favorite camp ground in NC is at the Hot Springs Resort but that is in the mountains. They do have great natural fed hot tubs for rent! For one right on I95, check this one out! Super clean and well run http://033b649.netsolhost.com/

New Members / Hello from NC

Hi everyone.  Brand new to Livin Lite having switched from our Aliner which we loved. We looked at many brands and decided that we could only be happy with the Livin Lite quality. We decided on a 2017 21bhs and had our first camping trip on the New year weekend.  Apart from poor tv and radio reception,  all was well. No leaks despite torrential rain for most of the weekend.  Very impressed so far.
