I recently saw a motorhome being cleaned with a power washer.....they cleaned the awning with it......I would try that...and I will when the weather gets better.

General Q & A / Re: How to hitch the Andersen hitch
September 19, 2017, 10:09:10 PM
I'm glad this was posted.  I never try to raise the hitch with the trailer jack.  there have been times when I cannot fully engage the bolts on to the chains....so I will turn the truck a little to even out the length on both chains.

Upgrades and Modifications / Re: Storage Ideas

I found plastic drawers that can be put under a cabinet.  it saves weight and holds plenty.  I did have to Velcro the drawer to keep it from opening during travel.

don't put food there...use it for storage of not frequently used items, extra paper towels, etc.

I use a three drawer unit made of plastic.  I might have bought it at Big Lots but you can get it anywhere.  It fits perfectly in my cabinet and holds everything I need and then some.

I have a 22 ft toy hauler.  I was wondering if anyone has put a Progressive surge protector in their unit?  the issue I see is that the hot water heater is in the way of access to the electric input to the trailer.  thanks.

the heater in my unit heats it up quickly and nicely...no need to carry any more stuff!

I have an 8.5 x 22 toy hauler.  I have an Andersen WD hitch.  it rides much better with it.

I have the 8.5 x 22. it will carry two motorcycles easily.  Its dry weight is 4100 lbs.  I have a Ram 1500 diesel rated at 8400 lbs towing.  this set up is very easy to get around.  the truck tows the trailer easily.  I do use an Andersen WD hitch.  the room in the galley is very sufficient as is the bathroom.  there will be compromise with anything you get.  I would get this toy hauler again in a second.  I love it!

after turning on the frig for two days b=prior to leaving, when I got to my first stop, I had a warm frig and an error.  I opened the back of the frig (door on outside of the rig) and while looking for a fuse, I found a loose wire.  when I reconnected it, the frig came back on and has been fine ever since.  goes with my saying.....the simplest are the bestest.  check the simple things....maybe you have a bad ground somewhere.

I am also an old/new member.  I have a two year old 8.5 x 22 Access toy hauler.  my tow vehicle is a 2014 Ram 1500 with the small diesel.  this is a wonderful combination!  the trailer is just right for getting into small places and very easy to tow.  I've gone to Florida and New Hampshire, and places in between.  I have a Honda VTX 1300R which fits just perfectly in the trailer.  there is certainly room for another full dressed bike!  at 6'3 I find the trailer to be very comfortable.

QuickSilver Toy Haulers / Re: Insulating Floor
January 17, 2017, 12:36:50 PM
I used interlocking rubber mats that I got at Sam's Club.  they are available at many places.  they are easy to put down and trim....and insulate the floor very well.  I got the idea from my dealer who did this to another unit.  I use protection from the kickstand......the tires do not make a large mark........they allow me to walk barefoot in the trailer without hesitation......
