Has anyone had to replace a front side yellow marker light on their camper?  AFter making a trip i noticed by the scissor jacks a wire hanging down and tow wires exposed(white and black) that apparently went into the light itself from underneath.   I cannot seem to figure out how to removed the light fixture to be able to reconnect these wires, I"m not sure if the lens snaps off, slids off, or how to take it off . anybody with suggestions?   ALSO  i have tow speaker lights that are up under my canopy, one light suddenly does not work, they are the "blue" colored lights that you can switch on for sort of mood setting colors or night lights.
thanks

Hi
Has anyone had their ceiling vent,(ours in the bathroom) not open because the gears may be stripped or lose?  I cannot open my vent.  i disassembled it and found that the shaft that turns/opens the metal rod/elevator arm slips where the screw / plastic wheel connects.  I cannot remove or tighten this screw that connects the plastic wheel .   Its a simple/minor part but is a little time consuming to take apart and now i'm trying to find a replacement gear/components.  I"ve contacted our dealer, where it is still under 2 yr warranty to see if they can replace it for me.

General Q & A / Suburban HW Heater circuit Module
June 04, 2018, 11:04:20 AM

Has anyone experienced a problem with their Subur ban HW Heater not sparking and perhaps having to replace the Water Heater Circuit PC Module Board 520814 ??  My Heater will not start/light up when using propane  checked, the circuit board and it appears that there is a burnt mark on it, as if a transister went bad.    I see them available on amazon and ebay  but was hoping that Suburban would replace this since is 18 months old, maybe went on 5 camping trips.   It appears more common than we realize with other trailer lines as well.

Has anyone purchased the Jack-It Two-Bike carrier for the trips and mounted in on the tongue/jack mount?  Did you have enough room between the jack and camper for 2 bikes? I know they say its a bit tight.  how about the room over the propane tanks? Looking for recommendations.

General Q & A / WATER PUMP - Winterize..
October 27, 2017, 12:54:40 PM
Travel Trailer:  16 DBS 2017
I'm winterizing a have a question on the Water pump.  I have the lines blown out, and ready to "hand pump" the antifreeze through out the lines   My question is will this pumping push antifreeze through the water pump? or does water only come into the pump from the fresh water tank? I never used the fresh water tank since the 16DBS  was purchased new.  Is there another way I need to approach the pump? its in a rather tight location.  I"ve seen/read some people disconnect lines and connect to pump lines but again its in a very tight location under bed next to hot water heater.
any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated.

CampLite Travel Trailers / Winterizing
October 10, 2017, 10:55:28 AM
Its that time and I need to get ready to winterize my 16DBS.  First time.  I'm looking for comments on things to do here, I know we need to drain the water lines, we have the low point hot/cold lines to open. I would expect I should open valves to let lines drain easily with no air pressure to hold water back.  I'm not sure though what to do with the Hot water heater, how it should be winterized? do I remove the plug and drain it that way?
RV Antifreeze into the goosenecks of sink, but do I need to somehow get antifreeze into water heater or should I blow that out ? Looking for tips here.
Water tank and gray/black tanks empty.
Suggestions or referrals to previous posts would be appreciated.

CampLite Travel Trailers / Wheel Covers
October 03, 2017, 12:42:59 PM

I"ve seen many travel trailers with wheel covers.  Are they necessary? do they prevent dry rot? If I park my camper in a carport do I still need these covers, the sunlite is lessened with this carport.
Ok..i guess they are available at any RV/TRailer outlet or dealer?

CampLite Travel Trailers / Trailer security
June 07, 2017, 09:54:25 AM
What kinds of security device do people use that can prevent someone from hooking up to your travel trailer and driving off(other than a wheel boot)? I"ve seen the devices(trailer hitch) at a dealer once but can't seem to recall what they are called.  Are there various items to prevent theft of trailers? What is best?

Does anyone have a step by step start up of a travel trailer after its been winterized, NOW Ready for SPRING?
Like battery hook up, to water lines opening/setup/hotwater heater  draining/flushing winterized anti-freeze etc.............
Having had a run through back in November how do things, obviously one needs the experience to do remember all
that needs to be done in spring when your ready to get going!
I had a great walk thru back in November but sheesh, one should record it all to remember it all.
thanks in advance.
Everyone please chime in as there may be various ways eveyone does this.

CampLite Travel Trailers / 50 Amp to 30 Amp
March 17, 2017, 08:40:50 PM
I have a 16 DBS New trailer .
My question is it has a 30 amp electrical requirement so that when i plug in at a camp sight i use the
power cord provided when i purchased it.
What if I camp where there is a 50 amp plug in?  Does that plug in accept my 30 amp power plug/cable? or do I
need to obtain a reducer  from 50 to 30 cord(if thats what its called) ..   or  do campgrounds provide this type of
modified cord for campers..(probably at a fee)??  I saw a device at Cabela's that went from 50 to 30 and thought this might be a good investment.
Ideas?

thanks

Open Discussion Area / Camping starter info

Ok..Yes we are new and haven't used the camper yet until spring comes but here is a few questions.

If we were to find a campsite WITHOUT electric, how would one camp ? The battery would run basic lights right? and help the propane operate  refrigerator. what else would you use as far as the electric goes...water pump, hot water heater?  Powered Jack on hitch! Canopy! Radio? Tv?   So do those that camp this way use a solar charger to keep battery charged? I am just assuming that as we travel there may be times that we won't have an electric hookup so I want to understand and know what/how to operate..

just pondering......... LoL

Has anyone ever used or witnessed a good quality Camera that one can install on the back of their travel trailer to
see what is behind them?  Sometimes mirrors do not show enough immediately behind the trailer and I"m considering
looking into one.
Any suggestions recommendations?

Preferably a wireless one

thanks.
