Wind vs Snow Load

I'm planning to build a metal structure on my property and keep seeing references to wind load and snow load requirements. I understand they both affect durability, but I'm not sure how to properly evaluate which one matters more for my area. Should I prioritize one over the other, or do they always need equal attention?
