Hi everyone,

I'm starting this thread to talk about pro fantasy names—the kind that sound polished, intentional, and fit perfectly into a well-built world. Professional fantasy names feel consistent with culture, geography, and history, rather than random or overdesigned.

They often draw from linguistic patterns, mythology, or subtle twists on real names. Examples like Valerion, Eryndel, Kael Thornreach, or Serapha feel refined and memorable.

I'd love to know how you approach creating pro-level fantasy names, what mistakes to avoid, and which names you think truly stand out in books or games.

Thanks in advance
