How many miles before lubricating the EZ axles?

Per the Dexter Manual https://www.livinlite.com/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=71.0;attach=107 , Every 12 months or 12,000 miles.

I took 2 years before I did mine for the first time but I had done way less than 12 000 miles.  Should I do It every year from now on?
