These past few weeks have been insane — multiple urgent roles, constant client check-ins, and way too many candidates to track. I can feel the quality slipping just because I'm rushing through things. I hate the idea of sending over less-than-perfect candidates, but the volume is killing me. How do you keep your standards up when you're buried in work?

It's tough, especially in full desk recruiting where you can't just pass the load to someone else. I found that prioritizing quality over speed is non-negotiable for client trust. There's a section in full desk recruiting that talks about the danger of cutting corners under pressure. I started using a shortlist approach — I only push forward candidates who truly meet the top criteria, even if it means fewer submissions. Surprisingly, clients appreciated it more than a flood of "maybes."
