My lab is currently developing optical detectors for gas analysis. We now have a question about accurately measuring the spectral lines of a gas and identifying contamination. To do so, we need a good optical spectrum analyzer. Which one should we choose?

What range is the analysis performed in? Is it approximately 2-5 μm? This is the mid-wave infrared (MWIR) range; ordinary optical spectrum analyzers do not cover it. You should look for an analyzer with wide coverage up to 5 μm at https://www.testwall.com/optical-communications-test/optical-spectrum-analyser/ . Perhaps the Yokogawa AQ6377 would suit your needs. Have you considered this option? It has MWIR spectral coverage of 1.9–5.5 μm, which is ideal for gas spectroscopy. I think it might be just right for your work.
